Please share your experiences..

I have received my AP today. I have noticed that my was misspelled. For Example, my name is 'Bond, James'. On AP, it is spelled as 'Bond, James J'. There is an extra 'J' at the end of the name. I have checked my I131 application that I sent to USCIS and my I131 notice, name is correct on those documents.

Is this going to be a problem during travel? Do I need to call USCIS and correct my name? How long it is going take?

Is there anybody with similar experience? Please share your experince. I have a travel plan during the month of November.

Better to contact USCIS and correct the name.
 
EAD Received

Got my EAD in hand today. Details in signature. How are the AP approvals coming along from NSC? We are planning India trip soon.

Received card prod ordered email on 09/21. I have received Approval Notice Sent eamil on 09/24. But so far no mail notice.
 
How can we find our name is cleared from FBI? I called FBI office and they mentioned that they send the results on the same day of FP. Not sure, what does this mean.

Card production ordered a month ago - NO EAD

Online status says the EAD card production was ordered on 28 Aug'07, but no EAD has been mailed yet. Any inputs on what should be my next step?

NSC, 12June receipt date. AP has been approved.

My EAD was approved on 9/11,card production ordered. Online status shows that approval notice was mailed on 9/13. But so far neither of them were received. I took infopass, the lady said i have to wait two weeks or have to apply again. I called 1-800-375 number,they said I have to wait 30 days from the date of sent. I dont know what to do next?

Today i got EAD card production ordered email from CRIS


I have received an email from CRIS stating the I765 card production has been ordered (for my wife). And there is an LUD on my 765 on 9/28

I talked to an IO. He told me to wait until 30 days from the date of sent.
1-800-375-5283 options, 1,2,2,6,1 enter Receipt #,1,3,4 you will end up with customer rep.
But it is of no use. I tried all my level best. nothing happened. I am frustrated.

have you moved since the day you filed? same thing happened to me but that was because I moved after filing 765 and had updated the address with USCIS and Post Office but nothing ever works for address change.
I had not choice but to apply again... hope you do not have to apply again as it takes full 90+ days again. But this was about last year I am talking here.

Hey jaychandin,

I can understand your frustration. After waiting these many days and months, missinng the fruit at the last minute is very painful. Some times we will miss them in postal. Even I didn't receive my H1B approval notice way back in Jan 2007, it got misplaced in postal. We applied for a duplicate copy and I fially received Aug 2007. I lived with H1B receipt notice for almost 8 months.

I hope you will get your EAD this week. Mine aloso approved on 9/12 and I have received the card on 9/15. Some times it will take little longer.

BTW, did you check with your lawyer. They will send them to your lawyer sometimes.

Guys,

I have a question. I have Advanced Parole. i want to travel to india, and my lawyer is advising to take Visa(apparently Advanced Parole is for backup purpose only according to them). Anyone in same situation?. Any advice would be helpful.
