EAD approval

Quite a few NSC EAD approvals today ... congrats to all !! I hope NSC keeps moving full-steam ahead.

I, too, received an EAD approval today, for one of my dependants :) ... now waiting for the others.
 
NSC is on EAD fire alright, wish it was 485, but EAD is still good.
Got EAD approval email today (9/20) for wife.
RD: 6/27, ND: 7/20

When I got my 140 approved the email was sent out at 11am. Yesterday I got an email about EAD approval. It had been sent at 5 pm. So my guess is anywhere between 9 and 5.
 
EAD card and approval notice Not received so far

labor_pains and mysticbeach Did you receive the EAD card and approval notice? I got email for both of them on 9/11 and 9/13. But no further response for those arrival. usually we should get them within a week. Everything delays for me.

I got my EAD card. Not yet EAD approval notice or AP notice. I understand the pain of waiting for the card to arrive in mail. Hang in there, you will get it
 
I have heard an unofficial News regarding Visa # . Here is what I heard.

Since September 30 is a last day for USCIS to finish the 2007 visa # they are approving all the old cases with priority date within December 2003, so they don't waste any Green Card. As soon as October visa gets allocated then they will start the cases that has old priority date and if they have anything left then they will start approving cases with priority of 2004.

Also the current visa # by Congress is 140,000 for employement base that will expire on 2009. then New congress has to allocate either more #s or reduce it. Based on all the chaos with currrent # the possibility is that Congress will increase more # of visa.

Conclusion is that they are trying to increase sooner than 2009.

Once again this is unofficial. So don't quote me.
 
Question to anyone

What happens to your Green card approval if you leave your job and no one says anything . How would USCIS track it? Since the final step is I-485 and it is already filed and your only waiting for it to be approved.
