The message on I140 never changed after MTR. that 30 to 60days message is on MTR receipt. So it means it is still with Service Center??

However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

485 message changed to the following today:
"On October 19, 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."
Any idea what this could be???
EricS said:Did you call CIS 800 number to inquire about your case? All they are saying is "we responded to your request for more information ", so I think you requested more info by calling their 800 number, nothing more than that.
Was the MTR filed on 09/24/2004 or the status updated on this date? Also what kind of denial was this?shriyaz said:Hello Everyone
My I140 case was reopened on September 24th 2004. Does any body know how long will it take for them to make a decision?
Thanks

shryiaz doesn't post very often but I am familiar with his case.
His case was denied on ability to pay. He sent in audited financial statements and within a couple of weeks his 140 was reopened on MTR., ie., they accepted his argument. However, they haven't taken the final step in approval, although that is a mere formaility as once the case has been reopened that means you have overcome the reason for denial.
Saisha, what are your details ... please post or reply to my PM. Thanks.shaisha2 said:Who represented you for MTR?

Mine is a different case; education in canada three year degree is equivalent to four year degree in usa.
Lawyers didn't really do much it was the evaulation from trustforte and their explanation of canadian education system.
I am confused as to why your attorney did not write more details while appealing. I think an attorney should submit a brief and give exact replies to all the points raised in denial and also submit evidence. Even if the evaluation was done before, the evaluation should be done again and re-submitted. What documents did your attorney submit with the appeal?shaisha2 said:My evaluation also done by trustforte. But USCIS did not re-open my case. My attroney has re-submitted the same evaluation saying that this was not considered while denying the case. The evaulation from trustforte was submitted while RFE was sent. But this was sent late, almost on the due date of RFE. On I290B the attorney just mentioned "we appleal for this case" and did not submit any new evedence.
United nations: is this the reason why this was sent to AAO instead of reopening the case?, or this is a clear evidence of denial, please advise.?
