Track 485 Receipt Dates Filed On Or After 1 July 2007

USCIS updated receipt notices today sept 21
I-485: TSC processing 07/29/07 and NSC is processing 08/09/07 applications.
Did you receive your 485, EAD receipt and also what about your checks?
Are they cashed in for 485 and 765 applications??

Difficulty understanding terminology and tracking !!.

I am getting confused interpreting the information here. I only know that my package was sent to USCIS on August 14th. I don't know where it went, how to track it . I would like to know the receipt number . Is there any way, I can find that ?. Thanks in Advance.:confused:

You cannot track it as such without receipt number.
But what you can do :
USCIS updates the receipt processing dates for I-485 etc applications received by different service center. They update this every friday evening.

FYI Texa Service Center (TSC) is generating receipts for the applications received on 07/29 where as nebrska is generating for 08/07 as of last friday

My case is close to the dates in NSC.I havent received my receipt yet.My lawyer mailed my application on Aug 9th . So hoping it will be processed this week. Lets see. Any inputs. Close to my date,anybody mailed and got receipt notice already??

Thanks Krish for the Info. I don't know what form I-130 and N-400 mean. However, I see that the Website says that all other forms for California Service center have issued receipt notices for Date Received 09/13/2007.
I am assuming my application will goto CSC , since I live and work in Orange County, and I haven't received any receipt notice.

Just FYI,
Only TSC and NSC service centers process I-485 applications.
Since in you live in CA,Your application will be processed by NSC. So you need to track NSC receipt processing dates to track your receipt progress
 
Labor Clearance Priority Date of Feb 5 2007. Company filed my I-485 on Aug 3 or 4 when INS declared that all dates are current..
I -140 is just approved on Sep 2007.
Waiting for receipt...

Question:
So where does this new process puts me in queue.?


When INS made all dates current then only my employer filed for I-485..

Just curious if someone have some idea that if, INS is opening I-485 as of priority date? I just wanted to know the estimate of time like how many years... 2,3,5,7..?

Thank you Krish for helping me figure out the problem. This really helps me to track my application. I think in next 2 weeks , I will get a receipt letter.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advises customers that, due to a tremendous increase in the number of applications filed, processing of fee payments and entry of cases into our tracking system is behind schedule. As a result, applicants can expect notices of receipt to be delayed. USCIS is working hard to deal with the increased volume.

Delay in fee processing and data entry will not affect an applicant's Change of Status or Extension of Stay eligibility if all other eligibility requirements are met. USCIS continues to process Premium Processing Service requests within 15 days.

USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed. Until this situation is resolved, USCIS will provide these weekly updates on progress in issuing receipt notices to our customers. We appreciate your understanding.

Received spouce AP receipt notice.
Received 485 TRANSFER notice.
Received spouse 485 TRANSFER notice.
(case was filed in TSC,but they trasferred the entire package to CSC .Now CSC is processing EAD and AP and 485 was again transfered back to TSC)
Waiting for 485 EAD and 140 RECEIPT notice.

My checks for 485,AP,EAD are cashed last friday. It's little hard to read the receipt numbers from the cashed check images for these.

Receipt numbers

You should receive your receipt notices within a week.
All receipt notices were sent to my lawyer . EAD status as of oct 1st: Card production ordered ;-)

FP Before EAD Approved?

Did you get FP Notice (and FP done) before EAD was approved? In my case it has been over 60 days and no FP notice yet.

Also, does your online case status change when FP Notice or EAD is ordered?
