Hi Don Chinche,

I posted this (see below) on the other thread, but I was afraid that you might not see it there.


On Feb 15, I wrote an email to that email address you gave me. Now today they finally replied to me (after 12-13 days). There was one line only in the email and it's said: "Your case is currently being reviewed. Thank you." Now, from reading your experience, you were approved the next day. I was wondering if that could happen to me too?????? I want to get excited, but I am scared to get too excited. My LUD has not changed at all. Did yours change when you got that email and before you got the approval??? Please reply soon...I am too :confused: :D

Did you get an LUD change between that email and your approval? If it really happens, I don't know how to thank you enough :)!!!
 
Today, I wrote them too. They're not answering on regular mail. I was trying to correspondence with them last year, with different question regarding service in Army. I was trying to get approval letter or stuff like that, because my recruiter wanted to see some papers from INS. But they never answered me.
 
When I got the message saying that my case was being reviewed my lud changed, and like a couple of days later got the approval messages.( I had the email updates thing on, and they send you like 10 emails once your case is approved).

This is only my experience, but I certainly hope it works with you too.

It's the one Taurusborn gave you. I used the one for NSC since my case is there. Good luck. I will let you know when/if I hear something!

Not yet! But it was funny, I have my mother's case in my portifolio as well, adn her LUD started changing. Yesterday, I got an email from CRIS saying that her case was transfered to a local office and today she got another LUD. I thought maybe I emailed them her receipt # by mistake, but I checked and I gave them the right one! When I first saw the email I thought it was mine and I got very excited, but it was hers!!! It's OK though since she applied before me!!! We both got our medical letters and the bio appointment letters 2-3 days apart, so I am hoping I will hear something soon too!!

I was very exited to see how my LUD changed since I filled 485, because I never seen something except that they received my application. I thought it's moving. But I don't know, I can't forgave myself for waiting so long before I re-applied 485 again last year. When I applied first time in 2004 I didn't even know about receipt's number and how to track your case. When I was calling to customer service they're asking me my case #. And i was telling them that I don't know my file #. So they told me since I applied on Dec 2004 that's OK everything is in processing time. And there is nothing to worry about. I started to worry last year when Ive talked to immigration lawyer. She told me that since I don't have any case# or proof then I have to start it over. She also told me that sometimes it happens. Post Office or NSC somebody lost my package.

When you first applied, didn't they cash the check you sent them? That's one way of knowing if they received it or not.

The LUD change you last had is because they received your REF. I hope you hear the good news soon. Good luck!

I am asking because, your case is within their processisng timeframe. Mine is May 2004. can we still write?

Well, I thought it wouldn't hurt. I mean there are some people who applied after us/me and got approved, so I thought it wouldn't hurt. Don Chinche was approved in about 7 months since he applied and his wife in 4 months and if he can write to them and get result, I felt I should too.

Since I knew that I applied recently (Nov 30 2005) compared to others, I couldn't complain too much on my email so I tried to be as polite as possible. I just gave them my receipt # and said I wanted to know what was going on with my case and that my online status said that I should hear a reply within 60 days from the date they received my REF and RFI, but that it has been more than a year now. I just said please help me, I am desperate, bla bla... That's all. If you want you can try to email them now or wait and see if anything good happens to my case before you write to them. My LUD has not changed at all, so I have a doubt that they are doing anything to my case. But Don Chinche said he got approved after a couple of days after he got the email back. So I am going to hope that I will hear the good news soon.

At that time I didn't have enough money in my bank account to pay by personal check. I mean my former employer wasn't good to pay me at timely manner.
So I can't send check if I don't have enough money in account to pay for. So I just went to the store and bought money order. That was a big mistake.
 
I checked some cases close to mine and some people within my case # (+-100 cases randomly) already got their CG and some folks still waiting.

Sure. I understand you are trying to do something. I have not even recieved Medical request from them or fingerprints request, since mine are expired long time ago. Lets see what happens next...
 
I wrote them a lot. they never answering me. This time I wrote them just to ask how my case is going and ask them how long does it take to process my case, because some people who applied early have their GCs. But still no answer from them.

I was hopping for get GC this month. cuz my good friend from COP, she is in Canada right now. And I wanted to visit her. I haven't see her since I left my COP. She leaving Canada by April 4 or something like that. Im asylee I need visa to go to Canada. Visa to Canada means a lot of stuff it's taking time to collect documents for visa. She living just 200 miles away from me. And it's just 4 hours of way.

Last September I wrote them by mail to ask explain my rights about serving in Army. I wanted to go to the Army, but my recruiter said that i need some paper from INS to join. In other words I have to get GC or some INS approval letter. But they didn't answer me.

I'll surprise if i'll get any answer for my e-mail from them.
I don't know maybe I am out of luck:(
