Hey there,
I'm a Canadian citizen who is applying for a TN through USCIS expedited processing with Montreal. The job is essentially data work around HR (people analytics), which matches my education fairly well (Masters in Organizational Psychology, Bachelors of Science). That said, neither my education nor the job fit a TN category super well. We have decided to go with Statistician since I took a good amount of statistics courses across both degrees, but I have already been told that it is not equivalent to a statistics degree and may be difficult to get approved.
My questions are the following:
1) Has anyone had luck with getting the TN in a similar situation?
2) As a back-up plan, we are looking at applying for an H1-B, and having me work remotely and fly in for meetings in the meantime. Will I be subject to extra scrutiny for entering the country based on my denied visa and these trips?
3) If I get denied this TN / withdraw, and apply with a different company under a different job category, would there be additional scrutiny?
Thanks for your help!
