We sent my husbands N-400 form on September 24th, overnight mail. I know that immigration is way behind but i was wondering if anyone that had sent something around that time at least had their check cashed? Or any ideas on the timeline for the nebraska service center?
thanks

USCIS currently has a posted 15 week time frame for receipting of N-400 applications. Check out their website at www.uscis.gov for more information on processing times.

Someone on a different thread said that they mailed their N-400 on 10/9/07, and their check was cashed on 11/2.

In fact there have been several postings of users having their checks cashed recently who submitted their N400 application in October. Something is definitely wrong here.

It seems to me like CSC is moving at warp speed right now, as the only reports of October applicants having their checks cashed are coming from those who submitted their N-400 to CSC. If only other service centers took example!

Not only CSC, but NSC also...some users who have filed to NSC end of July have received their FP notices already. One poster who filed to NSC end of July even received IL for December. It seems there's no consistency between service centers and district offices.

I think I saw that post also. Someone also mentioned something about filing from aboard, because the person's husband was stationed there. She sent her N-400 to VSC at the end of August, and her check was cashed on 9/20. Of course, that can be due to the fact that she gets military priority. Regardless, either the service centers really started moving, or there is no consistency at all to the way they operate.
