Well, the list is for tracking purposes. In other words, it is a means to determine FBI processing dates. It will not be of help to anyone if there is no NC initiated date. :)

NC tracking

Hi,

My first time name check was processed on Jan 23, 2003, and was completed on June 13, 2003. Unfortunately, Since my case was transferred into local USCIS, I was required to performed the second time name check on August 24, 2004, and now it is pending in FBI.

Please add mine. Does anyone wait for the second time name check for the I-485 application.

We are painful with this name check, because all of my family have to wait my name clearance.

So how you know your name check was initiated at so so and date.
FBi hasnt replied to the email.
And to the best of my Knowledge Name check is only done once.or isnt it.

The FBI takes 6 months to reply - judging from my experience and those of others on this forum.

Btw, I doubt if the figures quoted in some sources is accurate. There seem to be quite a few people stuck in the Name Check queue in this forum alone. :confused:
 
It sucks doesnt it.
But I read somewhere that FBI is " committed" to eradicate all back logs by august.
I am hoping that is true. That is my last and only hope.
Here I am sitting 6 months after the interview with no GC.

I am waiting for almost an year from aug04 thats when i was intervwd, I was told background/name check was the factor otherwise everything was fine, now its been 2 months after name check is completed, still waiting for approval....

I made infopass and got a confusing answer from that clerk, she said the case is not in that office any more, i have to pay an other visit.

But I have read this bit in this very forum and not once but twice.
and in the last 2-3 weeks.
I will see if I can find that post and will provide the link.

Ha! I'll believe that when I see it... I had my interview in February 2003... 28 months and waiting...

I even wrote to the USCIS Ombudsmans office (twice) but that got me nowhere... and don't even get me started on my useless Congresscritter...

That is why I said "I was hoping...."
I dont believe in this process anymore
