Just called USCIS today and found out that I am stuck in FBI 'Security Check' I am assuming that means I am stuck in Name Check.

So what do I do now?

Going by your case, you applied 485 in APR'06 and TSC is still processing JAN'06.

Stuck in name check

Any one's help appreciated. Please read my signature first to understand my case.

Two days ago I called TSC (about PERM based 485 case) spoke with a very nice Rep & she told me that my case is ready to be adjudicated pending FBI name check. She even clarified further that its only name check as FP are good, also my spouse name check & FP are good but cannot be adjudicated as its a derivative case. I thanks here & hang up, then I started reading more about NNCP, realized it should be done long time ago on biases of our first case ( Physician NIW EB2 485 filed in 2003).
According to my reading NNCP receives information with in days of AOS application filling, Our first 485 was turned in Nov 7, 2003( Needs 5 years service proof for Medical Underserved area to be adjudicated tentatively in Nov 2008).
Shouldn't name check be completed then??? So I called the NSC . Big difference in customer service, very rude customer service, & will not entertain my request to verify that security clearance is done or not back in 2003. She though told me an interesting fact that they look for security clearance under Alien number( not under receipts of 485 for TSC or NSC) so TSC Rep should be looking under the same screen.........but that NSC rep will not look for my security clearance period. I hang up & called the TSC explain the whole situation, little tricky for them to understand, but she confirmed that their is no earlier security check & it has recently been turned in by TSC and currently pending.
If you guys look in my signature I am so far very unlucky, my initial GC was through RIR in Oct 2002 which has yet to receive a 45 days letter. Then I filed NIW EB2 in Nov 2003, & now currently all my hopes with PERM based filed 2 months ago.
Any comments appreciated.
 
NC Cleared

Called 1800 this morning and glad to know that NC for both of us have been cleared. The representative said our Fingerprint checks, Overseas Backgound Checks and Name Checks are all cleared and just wait for the cards. We're excited about this, but just got to know the new visa bulletin in August did not move for a single day. I'm EB3 and am one month behind the visa bulletin. PD is Nov. 2001. I have to wait for the visa availability sometime in Oct. hopefully. Finally, also hope the information from USCIS this morning is true.

Can anyone tell me what is the email address of NNCP so that I can get the status?

Please Help!!! TSC said name check pending, FBI said NO Pending..

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and feel very lucky to know so much.

I got to talk to the TSC and they told me my name is not cleared..since 2004.. (RD of I-485 Feb 9. 2004) and I called the Local FBI but they said there is no name check pendning ... what should I do now... it seems the TSC did not care...

Any suggestion... please...

If you care to do some search in there, you will find plenty of answers to your question. Anyway, here there are:

1) call customer service rep @1800-
2) request your attorney to make an inquire with USCIS if you have one
3) write and/or call your senator or congressman, google it you will find them
4) write to FBI by email every month
5) pray everyday

How do we contact the local FBI?
I called up NSC 1800# a month back and got to know my case is still pending in Namecheck. Also how do we contact the local office to know the status of our NameCheck?
Does someone know whats the local FBI office address/Number is seattle area.

What I did is go to the FBI webside and look for your local office near you and call them

Thank you. I did call my local FBI office and today one agent called me back and I gave her the details and also my Receive #. A#. but she said she can try not promising anything because it is down in DC I am in Miami.

Also I asked a congress person to help before I found out I am stuck in name check so I have to wait to see what they sugeest after they find out.

I also sent a letter to FBI requesting my FOIPA reoprt today.

I will e-mail FBI this evening.. Surely I pray everyday......

Now I dont know what I can do more than that... The TSC woman was not nice at all ... won't even give the day when my NC was initialed....

I got a letter dated June 15th 2006, based on my enquiry at Customer Service 3 weeks back. It says "your case is still pending at this time. It appears your security checks have cleared and now you need fingerprints. When the file gets to the officer they will send it for prints. Give it 60 days."

"it appears"??? What does it mean? They are not sure?

By the way, my name is not in the NC tracking list.

What is the NC tracking list ?

btw, I strongly suggest that you take an infopass appointment and confirm what is said in the letter. From reading some people's posts here, it appears that NC can be cleared/not cleared depending on which CSR you talk to.

Also, now that EB2 becomes unavailable on Aug 1 , let us hope they resolve your case by July 31st.
 
Never mind about the NC list. I just realized you were talking about the list we maintain here in this thread.
