Stuck in Name Check??? Let's track it

which state senator? that's a good sign. However I contacted NY senators, none of them would reply to me.

Anyone has any luck in contacting NYC senators?

I just don't understand the meaning of a second FP if the initial FBI check is still pending. What if your NC had already been cleared when you took your second FP? Would it initiate an additional FBI name check or is the FBI check only done once?

I can't get any information on my case. USCIS is not responding to any of my inquiries. I made referrals, wrote letters - no response. But I have a feeling I'm stuck in NC too because my online status is smthng like: "the results of your fingers have been received on Oct 24, 2004 and processing was resumed on your case...". How do I get info on my case status? :confused:
 
FP and NC are different and independent processes. FP wont affect NC.

NYC senators

Buzzhd
I contacted the NY senators and both seem very helpful.
Probably write to their offices and a week later follow up with a phone call.

thanks. Do you how long does it take to get reply from them? I did write to them in March and then emails, and now faxes, don't know if they really want to help me. I contacted Chuch Schummer and Hillary Clinton...
 
what to do next?

Talk to VSC center today, what to do next

PD became current 2 month ago.
I485 last LUD 08/05 for receiving finger print result

Called VSC this morning, was told firstly case pending for finger print results. After I pointed out that online message said finger print recevied, the lady looked again and told me that pending FBI invesitigating. She also added that the investigation mat takes years for some people. I requested a reference (or inquiry) number, but was declined.

Does that mean "stuck in name check" -the worst thing that I can image?

Should I go ahead for a "lawsuit"? Any thoughts are welcomed.
 
approved today

I don't what I did made it work, or it's just time for my turn, I got the magic email this morning. My I-485 is approved.

I just officially found out that I am part of your club, guys. Spoke with an officer and she told me the news. They would not tell me when the NC check was initiated. I can only guess sometime around my FP appointment, Sep 2004, although somebody said this is not related to FP, so I have no idea. So this may take up to 4 years, I heard? And nothing can interrupt or accelerate this process? :(

Required Vaccination

Can anyone of you guys let me know if Hepatitis B is required for US Immigration? It is awfully expensive 100 bucks a shot and you need to get 3 of these.

BTW, what other shots are required?

No required.

It's not required for immigration. But it's required for kids to go to school.

I sent letters to congress person and senators in my area. I think only one of them really tried to push USCIS, all the others were just querying status.
