Stuck in Name Check??? Let's track it

Name check cleared

My Name check finally came through last week. The officer who interviewed us called and informed of it. Also, he mentioned that he is going to approve the case.
Filed: 7/7/2003
3 EAD'S
AOS Interview: 8/19/2004
AOS Approved: verbal call from the officer

Q: I still haven't received any approval letter nor INS tells me when should I expect one. Does anyone has a clue what should be next or have the similar case like mine?

Namecheck

Can anyone tell me how to look for the name check? I have no idea how or where to do so.. :confused:

Biometrics July 05
.. and now waiting.. I wold love to check Fingerprints status (which BTW will expire in a week) or name check but WHERE and HOW? Thank you all

I heard that many cases are approved within a couple of months after name check (pending for long time). Just wait for 1 or 2 months and check the online status frequently. Did you contact congressman to push the name check or was it cleared by itself? Thanks!

Seems that they dont reply emails now - I sent them emails last July but did not get any reply.

If your priority date has been passed, you can call USCIS, asking them to send a query.

Name Check pending

Hello All,
Is anybody has idea how to request your congressman to ask for name check expedite/status request. If someone did it before can you pass us letter format like what knid of information we need to send.

Also can I ask any congressman of the state or congressman of my district only?

You can contact the congressman of your district. I did get hold of the immigration related staff of the congressman's office. The person did make an enquiry and found my I-485 was pending FBI name check clearance, but she said there was no way to expedite the name checks. I am sure some indviduals have been able to get their name check expedited on specific/emergency cases only or just got lucky.

If anyone in the group knows of a better way to get this expedited, let me know. I was only be able to bring awareness of these issues to the congressman's office, and not sure if it makes any difference.

I think congressman helped in my case, see my posting #880 in this thread on page 59.

Thanks for your posting. can you please give me more info like what kind of information do I need to provide in a letter to a congressman. If you can provide a sample that wud be very nice.

i did not use any specific format, just wrote 'dear senator XXX, and then details on my case, including receipt No, dates, A#'s, names, DOBs and place of birth, also same for my family, attached copies of FBI e-mail response and letters from infopass. Also they have a form on their website which you have to print out and sign, to make them possible to ask about your information.

My husband is the primary applicant. His 485 was approved and green card received in May 2005.
485 Receipt Date - Mar 30 2005
Spouse 485 AD - May 2005
EAD approved - Jun 2005.
My 485 is Pending FBI Name check. I contacted Senator, she told me they could not do anything to expedite the process. Hoping to get the 485 approval soon. :(

We are so happy now and we just got our approval email.

"On April 5, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

My name check was stuck more than a year and finally it is cleared now. The loooooong wait is over and finally, we are free.

My LUD changed on 3/11. I know many people had a similar LUD and I think hopefully they will get the good news too.

These forums have been a great support and I wish you all good luck.

Same here. We applied on July 2004. My husband got green card in May 2005. My name check is still pending since 2004. I have also contact one congresswoman and it does not seem that she even put effort on it. Now I have to wait for my priority date to become current, which may take 1-2months.
