sponsoring an illegal alien spouse

Praetorian dont get bored, once you have a real job... I mean a real one you will long for these days (being a worker in this country for 7 years I long for my "bored" days)

Working without authorization, illegaly etc etc is not a big deal if you marry a USC

Don't be that confident. Someone on this forum was recently arrested by ICE and spent 10 days locked up. That person is the spouse of a US citizen. During the arrest, that person was specifically told by ICE that they are arresting him since he was out of status when he applied for AOS. The case continues.

ICE is busy raiding ilegal workers, they wont mess with a usc wife

I am sure that you guys are telling the truth, I saw the thread but probabilistically I doubt ICE has 12 million agents to go after 12 million undocumented persons in the US

But he got out right? SO he was not deported or anything.
Just to let you guys know, I happen to be a senior Project Manager for a huge consulting firm and I can tell you 10 big construction companies that currently employ many many many illegals and ICE has not done anything to them (YET). But if I were ICE I would go after a huge contractor, because they know and we know and everyone knows were the illegals are. The only thing is that if ICE goes after say a huge federal contractor and they loose a multi million dollar project, I am sure the owner of that company will call a senator or someone with power. But small contractors and family owned bussinesses that employ illegals dont play golf at the country club with the senators. I honestly believe if they remove ALL illegals, the construction sector of the economy will suffer the most. So I would love to see ICE going and deporting the thousend of illegals employed by many huge contractors... although to be honest with you that will awfully impact my job. And many legal immigrants and citizens job.
Not defending any law breakers, but that is what happens in construction, there is huge shortage of skilled workers for trades.

Here, here. When I do gamble (OPM) that's Other People's Money, it's video poker all the way..I have some experiance with full tilt poker.. Fake money. LOL.

Ignore FukGC

Guys,

U will do well to ignore the OP. I sense that he is in this for trouble, because none of his questions makes sense. So, he should investigate all possibilities by himself.

she will not if she does not disclose it to USCIS. and if she used her name then she did pay the tax, but just didn't file for tax refund which in that case is even good for the IRS and the company she worked for..... i guess.

question about tax papers

Hi guys,
I think LucyMO or goodisgoodtome told me that i should have my tax return paper with me when I go for interview at US consulate in Nepal after I-130 is approved. Have a few problems with that !!

first year in the US (from aug. 2001), I did not work at all and I also did not know that I was supposed to file taxes. so, I never filed taxes in the year 2002. I filed taxes for straight 3 years and then again I did not file my taxes for 2006 because I was in out of the United States. Now, the problem is I dont have the tax papers even the ones that I filed. I left them in the US before I came to Nepal. My roommates were irresponsible assholes. AFter i left I dont know what happened to my clothes, the papers that I left there and also my car and much more .!!

I am not worried about the loss in money (clothes, car, etc). but whats gonna happen if the consular officer asks for tax papers and i dont have them ? how big of a problem could that be ? Is there a possible to get a copy of what I have filed in the past? plz help guys

The IRS and SSA might have copies of your w2's you might want to request copies of them. Also you might want to try your tax person or the employer. They all should have a copy

yes i already replied to his post, all he needs is a tax`transcript, and that will take care of his income and all that financial stuff, except he had a joint sponsor then he will also need a tax transcript of the joint sponsor and all can be obtainedn by mail or fax by calling IRS.

after reading all of these comments, I think I'll try to go for it. Hopefully we can get a waiver granted.
