Just got off the call with an IIO (a friendly male voice) at TSC (after 45 mins on hold). I asked him if the security check, background check, name check has been cleared. He said yes (i could hear the keyboard clicks before he answered). I asked him if the visa number was assigned, again keyboard clicks and he answered yes. Then I asked whether my petition was assigned to an officer. Some clicks and then answer was no. But then he said, it was in process of being to an officer which can be as early as tomorrow and as late as a month. So I guess I just need to lay low and keep cool for a while. Good thing was the IIO was not irritated by my questioning. Last time I had called, I had got an unfriendly lady who said I should not be calling TSC.
