Small Issue

Hello,
I have a small question. I did my undergrad from Ohio State University and then I came for my graduate school at Polytechnic Institute of NYU ..... After my graduate school, I got my OPT and I utilize my OPT but didnt get any H-1B sponsorship. In order to stay in status, I registered for a second masters program. Few months back I got the offer from that company and they were willing to work on my paper work . But today they took back the offer by telling me that I cannot work till i get my H-1B which is going to be in October 2010. I was wondering if this information is right and if there is any other way out.

Thanks

Info may be correct some lawyer posted few days back that H1 quota is over. you can ask any good lawyer for the latest update info regarding H1.

The information is right. The cap for advanced degree was met on Oct 25 '09 and for the regular was reached on Dec 22 '09.

Since you are not on OPT any longer, you cannot work until you get your H1B. They can file for your H1B in April but you cannot work until Oct '10.
