Should I change the address on driver's license?

I got my Yellow letter today. But, I have a quesiton. They ask me to bring my driver's license. The thing is that the address on the driver's license has not been changed since I moved 4 years ago although I actually changed my address online, but the address on my driver license is still old one. I didn't physically go to DMV to change because my driver's license expired in 2013. Does it matter? Or, should I go to change it? My address on the license is in the same city (New York City) as current one but different borough, though.

I was in the same boat as you are in. I went for interview with my current DL (old address). IO never expressed any concern about it.
On the safer side, you may take the proof (if you have any) from your on-line transaction of address change.

Changing the address on the license to match the current residential address is not a waste of money ... it's a legal requirement! There could be fines imposed by the state and other bureaucratic problems (e.g. DMV sending important mail to the old address) if you don't update the address on the license.

More precisely, updating your address with the DMV after a move is a legal requirement. Procuring a new license with the new address necessarily isn't.

This is what I was referring to. I had my interview in Garden City, and by that time, I had moved so my DL had a different address. I just wrote my new address on the back. Otherwise, it's $17...
