September - Visa Revalidation Tracking

Hi ,
I sent my passport for last name correction on 17th dec and
i got passport back on 26th dec.
This time they have printed sombody's visa instead of mine.
Including photo and all the visa information.

I have sent it back for correction again.
This Process sucks...

i will let you know once i receive mine. its really frustrating to go thro all this. i had to cancel my travel on the 26th morning due to this. i hope we all get this cleared and have a peaceful new years....

again, I have sent my Passport on Dec19th received by DC on Dec 22nd

Are you using FedEx or USPS?

USPS means , it will take some extra days . Please update your status after the call.

I will be traveling on Jan10th, and my DC date is Sep 28th. I was very confident that I will get the visa before I go, but now I have slowly started doubting it! Going by the trend that existed when I applied, I thought it won't take more than 3 months from St.Louis date (Aug 10) and so I was confident with having one month buffer. What a miscalculation it was!

Thanks for the great job you are doing.

I called up DC today and they said mine is approved on 24th and they must have already sent it or otherwise they might be sending it by today!

Mine will come through Airborne, and I found that they have not picked my PP yet. So, hopefully, they should pick it up by today.

we have the same DC date. when do you think we will get our passports back? Around Jan 2nd week? Or even later? Just to make my travel plans..
 
camera_guy and gc_waiter - pls. post any news, I am also in Oct 10th bucket, planning to travel on Feb 4th.
 
Just called up DC. The wait time wasn't all that bad about 20 minutes

My visa was approved on 24th DEC and is still in the printing queue.

Have no idea how long it will take from here.
 
I called up DC and my visa was approved and waiting for print. They told It will take one or two week to complete entire process.

The wait time was nearly an hour.
 
All,

I am also waiting for my PP. Please find the dates below. I am getting married on Feb 4th and reserved air ticket for Jan 28th. I am not sure whether or not I will get the PP by then.

SL Date: Sep 30,2003
DC Date: Oct 10,2003

Please include me in the list. I am also wondering about the holiday schedules for DOS. I thought that the standard federal holidays must be followed for DOS. But when I called last Friday (DEC 26), they were not working. Do you guys have any idea about their holiday schedule?

My travel date is Jan 15 th , looks like i am not going make it .

Actually i called the DC today , she told me that , still they are proceesing late september and early october application .

she didn't give me the current Dc date .

so somebody from dc date 8 to 10 , give them a call tomorrow and update the status

I called up DC today. They again said that my PP must have been dispatched already. The lady who I spoke to, was very understanding and helpful. She told me that he courier may not have picked up. I called up Airborne and asked them and they said they don't have a pickup at the DC location! So I asked them to pick it up and they said they will be able to do it before 4 PM.

The visa office website clearly says "The U.S. Postal Service and the major courier service companies pick up envelopes and packages from the Visa Office’s office building daily." So does it mean Airborne is not a major courier ?!

I hope and hope and hope and hope and hope ...that I get my PP soon and that too without any mistakes. Iam traveling next week.

camera_guy01, sorry to hear that. I hope that you would make it. Try not to cancel the tickets until the last day. All the best.

Be optimistic. You might get your passports by then. Some times DC office is pretty fast in processing the applications. I think all the applications which have reached DC office from Sep 29th to Oct 4th are processed in one day. My DC date was OCT 3rd and i got my passports last week. Hoepfully you should get yours next week. Good luck!!!.

Here are my details. I haven''t recv passport yet.

SL Date - 17th Sept
DC Date - 28th Sept
Approval Date - 22 Dec
Priniting Date - 30 Dec.

Still waiting Qa and Dispatch. Lady told me after printing it could take 1 day to 1 week for dispatch. It is really difficult to understand the process.

One more thing she told that me and my wife passports are being done together. She said they process visa for a family together..

What experience u guys have from PRINITING to DISPATCH ???
 
St. Louis visa stamping refused ..,

Hi,

I sent the passports (mine and my husband's) to St. Louis in September. Today I called the DC office and found that the visas were refused with the reason "incomplete employment letter". I may get the package in the next few days.

My questions are:

1. Will there be any marks on the passport mentioning that the visa has been refused?.

2. In my case, how long it would take to get the stamp, if I resubmit the application with additional documents?.

3. Do I need to pay the visa application processing fee and reciprocal visa issuance fee again?.

Nothing in the passport . u have to send back the application to DC with New employment verifcation letter . No need to pay .

Usually it will take around 5 to 7 businees days .


Can u update your St.Louis and DC dates . That is going to help people like me .
