Guys,
I was waiting for my turn to write this mail. I just checked my mail and surprised to see 4 emails from INS with the approval notice for me and my wife. Also I checked the USCIS website and I can see the same approval message.

I got this mail yesterday (09/14/04) but I was on vacation so I couldn't see it.

Thanks a lot everyone and specially Rajiv Khanna for maintaining this wonderful site.

I485 and I140 concurrent filed.
No Rfe's

Case Appoved!

Finally, my case has been approved :D. It took almost exactly 2 years to the day, and almost exactly 2 months from FP2 to approval.

Thanks to everyone on this thread who have given of themselves, advice or otherwise. Good luck to everyone still waiting...

From what I understand, you just turn up at the local office listed on your approval notice. I'll be going to the Boston office tomorrow morning, very, very early!

How many Sept, 02 filers are still waiting?

All,

VSC processing date is now 9/21/02. How many September, 02 filers are still waiting?

I am still waiting, I had called the USCIS 800 number to open an inquiry when the processing dates changed to 9/7 a couple of days back, I was told to call again once the date changes to 10/4.

My details
I140 approved July 02
I485
RD Sept 4,02
ND Sept 17,02
FP1 results recd Oct 18/02
FP2 results recd July 28,04

Left 3 voicemails and sent 1 fax to FBI for name check -- No response.

Sept 2002 I-485...what r the chances of a case transfer ?

I am proud to be a record-holder of sorts w.r.t delays.
EB-2.

Labor applied, July 1999.
I-485 applied : Sept, 2002.

First FP : Nov, 2002
Second FP : Sept, 2004.

I-485 was applied a few days after I-140 was applied.

I have received 3 EAD's so far.

I have waited , therefore, for 5+ years.

Question is : what are the chances of my getting a Direct approval
vs Case getting transferred to Local Office ?

I am scared at the thought of another 12 mths of
waiting time , since I hear Local Offices have their
own delays.

Also, if one moves to a diff job to a diff zone
( say Arizona ), does that affect the I-485 ?
 
Just a bloody waste of time!!!

This whole updating thing at the USCIS is bogus..I/my attorney had to write to the VSC to remind that it had been 20 months since my 1st FP, to which I got the notice for the 2nd. I have since gone in and completed my 2nd FP. The website reads the same old 'on oct 15 2002 your FP results....blah blah....'

So, I feel like a mad man now, knowing that the website never updates accurately, how am I to know that I am approved or if there is anything of concern....

I am waiting

really frustrated very badly. I checked for FP results, name check and everything is done still no change on online message or no email...nothing.
LUD changed on 09/14/04 ...but message still old of FP1.
don't know what to do.....I try not to expect or think of GC but end up with great disappointment of GC at the end of the day.

I am in the same exact boat as you... i'm keeping my fingers crossed.. i'll be filing for my 3rd EAD/AP soon ( with in days)..

LUD dates changed?

OK guys,
I have been waiting from sept 2002 for third of the 3 cards that is essential to live in US viz Driving License card, Credit Card and Green Card.

I did my second FP on sept 9th. My appt was for spet 3th and i recieved the notice on sept 4th but still i made that trip to Newark and did the FP.

Now in the last one week the LUD has changed twice on online status bu the message still harps abt the first finger printing i did on Oct 2002.

Has anybody had this issue.
