I am a green card holder and petitioning wife and minor daughter. Do I need to file 2 separate I-130 for wife and 3 year old daughter? Or just 1 application for spouse and my daughter will be included with wife's petition as dependent?
Thank you very much

at this time you need one I-130. However, if you become a USC before your family gets their immigrant visas, you will need a separate I-130 for your daughter.

How come at this time he needs only one I-130 but if he becomes a US citizen then he will need another I-130 for his daughter?
what difference does it make?
Thanks

Because his daughter would be a derivative beneficiary of his wife's petition in FB2. There are no derivative beneficiaries for Immediate Relatives, hence the need for a separate I-130.

I am new on this can you explain to me a little bit more simple, I do not understand FB2 and then you said that : There are no derivative beneficiaries for Immediate Relatives, hence the need for a separate I-130.
I am sorry for asking but I need to know, in the next few months I will file i-130 for wife and stepson, just want to make sure that I will not need to file I-130 for wife and stepson separetly at the moment. Thank you
