The only thing that worries me is that they've asked me to shell out a significant amount of money in US dollars before they file my H1B application. They said this amount will ensure my stay with them and told me that they will return the money after staying with them for a certain period of time. They also told me that I will need to pay for my travel expenses to the US if my Visa gets approved but will be refunded once I get there.

I'm promised to be sponsored by a US company. They've interviewed me through my cellphone and emailed me an employment agreement which seems to be valid. I've emailed them all the documents required. I've researched about them and they seem to be a legal company in the US. Their website has their US address and phone number. The company even had an award as one of the top performing IT companies from a well-known recognition-giving body so to speak. Anyone here has had successful H1B Application having the same experience as me? Is this a normal procedure from an H1B Sponsoring Company? To successful H1B applicants, were you asked for a security bond as well? Please help, anyone. Thanks a lot.
