San Francisco Regional DOL Tracker

Hi,

My California GC RIR labor certification was filed in Nov 2001 and was transmitted to DOL in Nov 2002. In Dec 2003, it was remanded to state.

Now, when I checked the AVM, it says 'returned by the state after a remand'.

Anybody knows what it really means?
(Next month I'm having my third anniversary of my prolonged LC)

DOL Processing Time

Hi gp111 and others,

My DOL received date is August 14, 2003 (same as GP111) . Company is a midsize company with few layoffs in the BAY Area. (Case Number 09575****)

With the rate that DOL is currently moving do u guys think it will get to August atleast in another 6 months. Do u guys think elections / year-end / holiday season slow down the processing time dramatically , as some one has posted.

Lost in Labor

My Federal priority date is Feb 10, 2003 .
The phone message says they are processing March 2003.
Also some cases before me and after me got processed .
I am worried about my case . The lawyer says "no news is good news ..so wait and see ."
Is there any way or any contact number to call and check the status of my case . Please help ....

Why DOL stuck again?

Any guess on why DOL is stuck again and seems to be not moving ahead (based on AVM) -

Possible explanations-

1. AVM not getting updated ?
2. Clearing up the cases from Nov'03 - Feb'04 ?
3. Waiting for some policy decisions ...??
4. Further reduction in processing capacity ??
5. Other ?

Remand Cases!! Any update????

Again its me with my unfortunate story, like many other... my case was remaned back in june'03. I have no clue whats happening or what will happen!!!!

After tireless email from me, our attorney responded back saying they have send an email to DOL for pulling my case back.

My question to this forum is: can this be done? have anybody done this successfully? If so what happens from here.

DOL Case Number !

Hello,

My case has transfered to federal from state on 09/01/2004. So far my company has not received the DOL Case number from them but has received a confirmation from SESA that my case was forwarded to DOL. How long does it take to get the DOL Case number after application is sent to DOL by SESA?

Sorry to say but it might take ever...even they enter what you think they are going to approve very next day!!

Just take a chill and check after 2 years..may be you might know then.

If Nature of you job is such that it requires the BS+5 or MS then DOL will not issue any RFE.

Please see the attached document, it some good information regarding EB2 / BS+5 etc. (Thanks to Immigration-law.com)

Will elections period speed-[UP/down] process?

At what rate these applications are getting processed?
Any impact of elections on this processings?
Is it gonna more slow-down? i am i gonna get there...my application has date 12 Aug, 2003

NO... DOL Is very Random In Case Number assignments. Also as SF dol processes cases for Seattle Region, those cases occupy some of the case numbers in between.. On an Average SF DOL has received 1400 SF RIR cases per month. Here is actual number till July & you can assume similar numbers for other months.

Guys, what is the cause for this tardy progress by DOL. I hope this is because a bunch of cases moved to BLC and now SFDOL is back to entering cases into the system.

reaching H1 6th year

Gurus,
I need advice on my situation. I got laid off early this year and changed status from H1 to H4, my H1 is reaching 6th year in two months. I heard I can still be converted back to H1 and get H1 7th year extension based on the pending labor filed by previous company as long as it's done within a year after losing previous job. My question is, does the 6th year limit matter? I mean, can I still be converted back to H1 after my H1 reaches 6th year limit? Note I have a LC pending for over 1 year from last employment. Thank you for any information.

Are they willing to continue the LC ?? If they are not withdrawing your LC then you can get H1 extension as you long as you have a new employer.

Thank you very much, GP111, I'm much relieved.
The previous employer is not withdrawing the LC.
 
who will stand up to lead and speak

I saw so many people frustrated about the processing speed of SF DOL. Is there anybody who will stand up to lead and speak for us?

Who in this board is in touch with Rajiv? Please ask him to help! I'd like to share $100.00. I believe thousands of you would do the same.

I feel like we're in the silence of lambs. Really angry right now.
