Hi guys, I just got the 45 day letter from Dallas BEC.

My PD and RD are:
PD: April 2003
RD: March 2004

Can u clarify from which sate you filed.

It looks the Bec is entering data from the last in first out

Please folks when u post Bec info please mention the State where your PD date was obtained like CA/NEV/

I'm not gp111, and definitely not a guru; but I'd read something about this in another thread, so I think it might help.

I understand that once BEC receives the letters in return, they have a team which will start processing the applications, again maintaining the same order (PD) used while sending out the letters. I understand this team - which will look into your application - is currently also used to help generate the 45-day letters, but once BEC starts receiving the 'YES Continue' letters, this team will be pulled in to do the certification task.

At least, that's the plan as was discussed in the "BEC Philadelphia" thread (http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=149224&page=6&pp=15). With DOL & BEC, you never know !!

The Training manual for Bec centre states if fallowed

1. Send 45 day letters (can be random ) after data entry for the recieved files for Phil/Tex/SFO intially and later from other states.
2.After reciept of YES letter, Process on State PD dates (FIFO)
3.Assertain meets prevailing wages/undue resstrictioins
4.Move to RIR or Non-RIR que
5.Approve/Denial

Mine was filed as RIR from California.
PD: April 2003
RD: March 2004

Letter dated Dec 23, 2004. Attorney replied on 29th.


Four pages:
Page 1. explaining the process, deadline to respond, etc
Page 2: Enclosures (just a list of things enclosed with the letter)
page3: Corrections list
page 4: "Selection of Continuation Option Letter"

I also see a new case number, it says "ETA case number: D-xxxxx-xxxxx"
(D for Dallas may be?)

In my case, both my attorney and my employer got the same letter.

My case was transferred to SFO dol during March 11,2004 filed in RIR, CA. But I have not received any letter from SFO DOL so far. Please can you, let me know, the exact date of your RD. I am really concerned ,as to the status of my case.

Lot of people who has RD/PD much earlier than mine have n't got the letter yet.. (So I think you need not worry for now, but keep a close contact with your attorney / employer, and make sure if there is any change in address etc, was communicated to DOL..)

I just sent email to my lawyer. She said we recieved the letter. I dont know the details of the letter yet. I dont know where it came from. I will post as soon as i got those details.

Is there any order in which the cases are cleared?? Curious !!

they were processing for 095533XX series on Dec 30 AND 095534XX on Dec 29th ?? In between there are lots of cases which are not cleared yet !!

Birth certificate

I know that all are interested in BEC letteres, even I am also waiting for my BEC letter which my PD is Aug 2002 and RD is June 2003, even though I am asking regarding the birth certificate question.

I don't have birth certificate and my name is not registered in the local authority office in india. Please let me know what to do now????

It's easier if you only concern the 45-day letters.

1.This is most popular thread where all people look into LC info
2.Opening a new one would be now meaningless since the procedure itself has changed
3.Bec letter info is one step before certification
4. I would suggest the status reporting can be modified after we move forward means add RIR/Non-RIR, certification.
5. Allways open to more suggestion / comments.
