Too bad there is nothing sent from West Virginia. Seeing Byrd's performance I thought WV is full of tech workers. Is there anyone, last call...?

No co-sponsers for BYRD amendment

I see lot of amendments with 10 to 14 co-sponsers failing.
Byrd amendment doesn't have any co-sponsor. I am sure it won't muster any support. The immigration relief measures will get passed by senate.
But the problem will be House-Senate conference committee when they consolidate house and senate bills.

If anyone has done research on getting the list of senators who is likely to vote "YES" to the amendment, we can send faxes to them explaining why they have to vote "NO". anyone please?

Bryd amendment has been moved to be taken up after Landrieu Amendment . I guess Bryd has not shown up till now...

The S.1932 result

I 'm watching C-SPAN 2 and saw for few seconds a message came up with

"S.1932 Byrd ... (something) .."
then Y: 48 and N:51 .

It's my 1st time watching C-SPAN.

Could somebody explain ?

Looks like they moved the Byrd amendment after Landrieu Amendment(upon a request from Judd Gregg(R-NH)) which is like after 5 amendments away.I think they are going to vote on Byrd's amendment only in the afternoon.Looks like they are testing our patience.
