Called Senator Specter's office

It took a few rings before the lady picked up the phone.

She was in a hurry and asked me whether I want immigration benefits or not and which zip code I am from.

Use the following to convince her you are from PA

19428 Conshohocken
19141 Philadelphia
19146 Philadelphia
19444 Lafayette Hill

Actually just found out that 19101 to 19197 are all zip codes for Philadelphia.

Use a 215/610 area code number and please use *67 when dialling

Started calling the offices asking them for support to EB immigration relief.

Someone brought up the good point that we should focus on the Senate Judiciary Committee members as there will be mini-reconciliation committees within the overall committee. These are the people that originated these relief measures. So let us focus on Grassley, Specter, Kennedy, Leahy, and tell them to stand up for these measures and not cave into the House.

Have a zip code from where the senator is from

Guys called up most of the senators on the committee today and two of them asked me for a zip code from where I am, since I didnt have a zip code ready I told them I am from FL and they have asked me to contact my local representatives and these will inturn pass it on to them. So when you call have a zip code available from where the senator so that your call wont go waste.

Regarding the caller id in case you forget *67 you can tell them that you moved from a different state but you cannot do the same for a zip code.

We all know everything in Congress has a long way to go. It seems to be one more opening and at the least brings employment immigration discussion/debate to the forefront. Stop being pessimistic!

Does any one know enough about each of these conferees regarding their
position regarding employment based immigration?
Can some one classify each of them as Pro/Anti/Neutral
based on voting history?

I guess only Sen Jeff Sessions: R-AL: (202) 224-4124 voted in favour of Byrd's amendement to remove the section regarding immigration, (hope I am not wrong) and so I think he is the only one who is Anti and the rest can be termed as Pro/Neutral.
