RFE Thread 6

RFE approval - 2 wks to 2 months

My wife's case got medical RFE 7/17
and INS ack~ed receival on 8/12.

Just talked with IIO and she assured
that both cases were assigned to the
same officer (my case no RFE/update
since 3/1). She said it may take
another month to 6 weeks since we
have ND of 8/27. If latter, then from
RFE received to approval is 8.5 weeks,
or 2 months. My estimated time on RFE
approval is 2 weeks to 2 months.
Because there are many RFE's got the
approval in about 2 weeks, and very
few (if any) for more than 2 months.

Everything sounds typical. Just want to
should share the info with those who
maybe on the same boat...

RFE on EAD Ext.

Hi Gurus,

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome from you guys. Recently, I have received a RFE on my EAD/AP extention. The RFE needs a proof if I have complied with the NSEERS registration for citizens or nationals of certain countries, including Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, or Syria. Now I am a Indian citizen but was born in Iraq when my father was posted as a Govt of India official. Ideally, my Indian passport is a sufficient proof but still I have been sent a RFE. Since I am a Indian citizen, I didnot do the NSEERS registration. Now, how do u reply to this RFE. My american lawyer is clueless as of now.
