RFE on my I-485

Anand,

I never changed Attorney or filed new G28. I have applied EAD by my own without attorney. I am calling same attorney to find out. I call them tomorrow once again. I am going to call TSC as well to make sure to which address they mailed it.

Anandkan,

Did your former attorney receive the RFE today???
Please confirm the same.
If so, did you ask him about the content of the RFE??
I did not receive it as of today(confirmed the same with the attorney)

Please post.
I am eagerly waiting.

LX95,

I spoke to an IO today and she confirmed that my RFE has been mailed to my former attorney even though I filed G-28. I contacted my former attorney and he will be mailing it today.

Velu and LX95,

I received the RFE from my former attorney. It's about TB skin test. My earlier doc did a chest xray and sent in the results without a skin test. But USCIS is asking me to take a skin test with the same doctor. But my attorney said that the doctor need not be the same doctor who performed the tests earlier. Is this a correct interpretation? please help clarify the situation. Thanks many

I would rather do as USCIS is asking you to do rather than what attorney says.

Thanks Dallas03096...in fact I have a copy of the RFE in hand now..it gives the option of the same doctor or an alternative approved doctor...so that clears the mist...hope visa # is alloted for my case as the RFE is a simple one...keeping my fingers crossed..

any progress on your case? If I were you, I will call TSC every day using the POJ technique and pester them until you find a nice IO who will answer your question. what does your congressman say? good luck

sorry i didn't mention...i was in boston when I took the initial tests but now I've relocated to dallas. I don't want to go to boston just for this if there is an alternative option..hence my original question about available options..tx

Anand,

After seeing your details, I think you should respond to this asap and you will get approval soon.

Thanks no_time_for_gc and velu555. I will respond by early next week.

I have just one more question: The RFE says about TB skin test only so I guess it's sufficient I do only the skin test right? Or do I need to full comprehensive tests covered in I-693 just to be abundantly cautious?

thanks for the suggestion.

Getting there slowly

Hope you will get approval as soon as you respond to the RFE. Good luck!

any progress on your case?
Thanks for asking! Congressman's office told me on July 24 that the transfer back to TSC is indeed for card production and I have to wait some more time till I get my card:)

POJ Technique always leads me to Customer Service Rep and not to IO. While raising Service Request, the CSR asked for my phone number. Do not know whether CSRs have added my phone number to the no-call list for IO. Have raised 3 Service Requests one (for each in the family ) for each week in the last 3 weeks!
Still no official communication from USCIS regarding the approvals:(

I called TSC regarding RFE. She told me like they mailed copy to me and original to attorney. I asked attorney address on their record and that is correct. Still I did not receive it yet.

Hi lx95,

Your signature says
LUD: 15 May 2007, Document Undelivered

Did you find out what this was?

I also got a similar message on May 8th saying that they mailed document to address on file. When I called TSC IO they said its not an RFE, but I am not sure.

Thanks
avi_gc
Anand,

You should be fine with your RFE. Still I do not anything about RFE.

avi_gc,

This is my case story.

I received FP notice and gave FP on May 9th. There was LUD on May 15th with document undelivered. I called TSC and rep wants to open SR for that and she opened SR. On Jul 16 and 17 there is message change like RFE message (Mailed you notice for additional evidence). On July23 received response to my SR that was dated on July 14th.

I am totally confused now. I do not know what to do now. My attorney and his staff are very lazy people. I will wait two more days and then I will go to local office to find out more.

Hi Dallas, I am not sure they black list the number you are calling from because I called multiple times from the same number but yes, I was not able to talk to IO always and get redirected sometimes to the CSR. But I have been successful in talking to IO many times...so, if you call multiple times you may succeed eventually...unfortunately that's how the system works..can't help it. Good luck

Dont worry abt the document returned undelivered email

Dont worry abt the document returned undelivered message if this was around the same time you recd your FP notices and went for FP (I see from your signatures that you both gave FPs in May). I got the same message on May 17 - I gave my FP on May 5. Later when I had a chat with my atty he said he informed USCIS atleast 20 times abt his change of address and asked me not to worry abt the undelivered email as that might be for the FP copy that is sent to him. Still I called USCIS and asked them what is going on, they had no clue and escalated my case to I believe an IO (not sure). He gave me a fax number and asked me to fax the email I got and a copy of my 485 receipt notice. Here is the interesting story (I typed the fax number into notepad on my computer - my daughter came and shut down the computer - so I lost the fax number), I worried about it for a couple of days and forgot all abt it - I got approved last month. So I see no reason for you guys to worry abt the mail returned email.

Also, I got the same message a week after my 485 was approved (I thought this could be the copy of approval notice sent to Atty).

I hope this will boost your morale.
my 2 Cents.

anandkan,

Initially I have done my medicals in California, subsequently moved to Houston, TX. I got my skin test done at Houston, TX and still waiting for the response from USCIS, I don't know when I am going to get it.

Thanks for the positive post President. I got this message about 3 days after I did the FP. Your message relieves me a little bit. Hope I get through this mess soon. Don't wanna be under this constant uncertainty.
