RFE not received

How to know current status or if received rfe etc?

How do you know current status, is it by just typing in receipt number in check case status on uscis.gov website? Or only if you register and create an account on that site by following the link that they have under currrent case status. When I search for my case status by entering receipt number, it says received and pending.

Thanks

Odd thing happening on my cases. As I mentioned before, the email system still seems to be down, or atleast works haphazardly - so did not receive any emails. Noticed today that I have LUD's on 3 of my cases as of 11/25/07:

I-140: This was approved on November 21, 2005.
1st AP: This was approved on November 12, 2004.
1st AP (spouse): This was approved on September 21, 2004.

Message on all three cases are same (approval), not sure why the LUD's. Anyone has similar pattern/s or can shed some light?

Another strange update -
Got this message on my 485 -

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

On November 29, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service

In my case, an RFE was sent for both me and wifey in October, but returned as undeliverable. Lawyer spoke to IO and a fresh RFE was sent (apparently) for both of us. Lawyer recd my RFE yesterday (EVL), wifey's is still missing. Lawyer called IO today and they said they will issue a fresh one for her.
Now this message on my case?? What could it be? any ideas?

I am desperate! My lawyer called today and was told that they will re-send... It is the same answer that I got more than a month ago!!!

Did anybody have any success getting the October 3rd RFE?

I am completely out of ideas.

You can fax or submit an online request or mail a letter to you local senator or representative describing the problem you are facing and its consequences and ask for help.

Finally my Son's case approved. I saw mail today "Card Production Ordered".

Our case approved on Nov 6 but in case of my son's case I saw RFE message, They sent RFE on November 2nd. My attorney and me nobody received any RFE from USCIS. Called 4-5 time to USCIS and finally they opened Service request.

I don't know why they put RFE but I think because of Service Request they found mistake in case.

I called yesterday and got a recorded message saying that nobody is available at the TSC and was transferred to the national service center. I spoke to a customer service rep and then got transferred again to an officer. The officer was extremely nice and opened a service request asking to resend the RFE.

I really do not understand the process... it seems so random and arbitrary...

Why was I transferred from the TSC to the national center?
What is a service request and why was it opened this time and not the other time I called? Does it mean that I have a better chance of something really moving this time?

RFE was replied on Friday (12/7). Message changed today to:

On December 10, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
