Renouncing citizenship to your home country

When someone actually becomes a naturalized US citizen, is that person required to renounce his/her citizenship to his/her home birth country?

The US does not expect you to renounce your other citizenship(s). However your original country of citizenship may not allow its citizens to hold another citizenship. In that case, they may either have a formal renunciation process or one may simply cease to be a citizen of that country after taking their US citizenship oath.
