Renew passport asylee based green card

Hello, I have a problem...
I know I'm not supposed to renew my nationla passport, and I dont want to, but...
My parents are selling a house in Russia and they need a notary signed paper from embassy that I'm allowing them to remove me from being registered in that house (so they can sell it). However, russian embassy told be that the only way to get the signuture from them is to have a valid national passport. They told me to renew it.
What should I do???Wll I have any problems at naturalization interview? What if I will end up travelling on this passport, f.e. to canada? I had RTD before for travelling...
Any thoughts on my situation?

If you feel comfortable using this as a reason for renewing your passport, if you can defend yourself IF they question you, and since you are a permanent resident, go for it. As long as you can demonstrate that you needed to do this, and that you are not putting yourself in danger by doing it (because that would call into question your fear of persecution), you can do it. Good luck.
 
Cafe is a very knocklegeble guy, so if he says " go and dont worry".just go and dont worry..he helped me a lot during my process. He knows what he is talking about.

If you renew your passport, I would get something in writing from the Russian Embassy supporting your claim so that if during the Citizenship interview if any issues arise, you have something in writing to support your claim.
