Reg H4 transfer - Pl help

Hi,

If I am in the US and apply for a H1B transfer while my wife is in India (who has valid H4 visa),is it advisable or even possible to apply for her H4 transfer too while she is in India? Pl let me know.

To transfer her H4 you need a valid I 94. If you are out side US you do not have one with you. You can always transfer her H4 as soon as she come back to US.

if she has valid H4 visa stamp(through A or B or C it does not matter) when enter US at the POE she should show her valid H4 visa stamp in passport AND your H1 approval notice and she will get I-94 till your H1 Transfer approval notice
** if at the time when she wants to come back H4 visa stamp expires then she should get H4 visa stamp based on your H1 approval/status
