Hello everyone, (previous screen name apr_waiter)
  My I485 was approved on Jan 22nd, Got the approval notice yesterday and got PP stamped today. Here are my details:
PD: July 1999
(substitute for another emp \'cuz my I140 was rejected due to lawyer\'s mistake PD: sep 1997 gave motion for reopening but was not considered)
RD: 4/5/2001
ND: 4/23/2001
FP: Oct 20th (originally scheduled on 11/8)

It totally took 4 years and 4 months for the process. I was not actively involved in this board for a couple of months).

Thanks to Rajeev Khanna, Ciba and everyone of you.

PP stamping experience:

Although my notice says to go to LA Downtown, as per the advice given in this board, we went to Santa Ana office.
1. Went around 10 a.m, there were more than 75 people ahead of me.
2. After 45 mts went in to collect the ticket in 3rd floor. Only one window was open. Took about 20 mts for the ticket.
3. Went to 5th floor and waited for 5 mts, our nos were called.
4. Gave 2 ADIT photos, approval notice, I-94, Passport. No questions were asked and we were done in 15 mts. The guy did\'nt did\'nt ask for EAD or AP although we took everything.
5. Totally the time spent was nearly 1 hr 45 mts.
6. He said that the actual card arrival will take between 6 to 12 months.

Once again thanks to everybody. If you guys have any questions I\'ll be happy to answer.

I think it was only fitting that my good friends
HenrySh and Bhagwan led the way by getting their
approval on January 24th. I was excited for them
to hear of their approvals, so I checked up on
my case and my wife and I\'s case have been
approved. Now I\'m so happy for my wife as well. It\'s
somewhat hell for us to wait for approvals, but
our spouses go through twice as much hell having
to wait a long time before they can even begin
to work.

Here are my details:

I140 Outstanding Researched filed 12/26/00.
I140 approved 03/29/01
I485 filed 04/30/01 (WAC-01-223-5xxxx)
Finger Print noticed recieved 10/01/01
FP done 10/09/01 @ SJ (scheduled 11/08/01 at Oakland)
AVM changes to FP received on 10/15/01
AVM changes to FP collected processing begins on 12/21/01
AVM changes to approved 01/24/02.

So it took just over a year of INS processing time to
get my GC. However, it took about 4 months to prepare
the outstanding researcher petition.

My above case (01-124-xxxxxx) has been approved for me and my family members.
It has been a looong journey for me. Details:
Came to US 09/1993 and started with this company in mid-1995.
Initial process started 02/1996 - EB3 (PD 02/22/1996); though I started the paperwork in 08/1995;
delays at lawyers end in filing initial labor certification.
LC approved - 04/1999 (yes , 3+ years)
I-140 filed - 04/30/1999
H-1B 6-year limit hit 09/24/1999.Hence, transferred to UK subsidiary on 09/23/1999
I-140 rejected on some technical grounds - 11/30/1999 - didn\'t matter. I was already out of US
Transferred back to US on L-1 - 10/22/2000
Filed I-140 under EB-1 (transferring overseas manager) - 11/03/2000 (PD 11/03/2000)
I-140 approved - 01/22/2001
Filed I-485 - 02/12/01 ND 03/08/01
FP done as per scheduled - 08/15/2001
Approved on 01/22/2002 and received the notices yesterday 01/26/2002.
Need to go to INS office Monday to get it stamped.
So, finally an end in sight....My patience was really running out, though.

I-485 applied: Feb 2001 ( waiting for PD to become current)
I-485 approved: Jan 2002
Passport Stamped: Jan 2002
Hopefully should get plastic card in a couple without any further problems..

Today 28th Jan talked to an IIO and she said that they are still waiting for an actual report from the FBI. Once they receive that the case sits on the self for 3-4 months, then only will it get assigned to an officer.

Can you confirm if this is your understanding and if anyone who has had recent approvals, how long did it take for your I485 approveal once the AVM says FP received and processing has resume?

for 4 hours & got passport stamped..

I have read somewhere that The fingerprinting scheduling system was changed recently.

Earlier method was that fp was one of the last steps of the gc process and after that there was fbi/cia/agency check/local authorities check

Now the system has been changed and the fp is done much in advance

I do not expect that all people having message \'proces resumed\' means that ur case will be approved in 3-4 weeks but that all people of april 2001 with avm message \'process resumed\' will get the following

a) approved 80 percent probability
b) rfe 10 percent probability
c) transferred to local INS for interview 10 percent probability

but i would like to say that all those of april 2001 and earlier with message saying \'pending review\' who have completed fp
or have completed fp more than 4 weeks earlier is that the avm message is not 100 percent correct

there are many postings on this message board saying that their avm message did not change

So finally the avm message is a generally correct and now INS is processing april/may rd\'s and earlier than april cases also

It will be a while for CSC to process people like me (july rd\'s)
and august rd\'s like yours

the theory \'resumed\' means that u r 4-6 weeks from approval does not hold good any more

Hope the above clarifies the situation

RD 04/01, RD 06/01, FP is 09/10 and PD 11/99.... Msge heard for I-485 is
that " Your Alien Registration or Green Card processing is completed and
the INS will be sending you the document"
I don\'t know whether this message confirms that my GC Approval or not...
or is there any more document should I expect from INS...
