we (my wife, son and me) got our I485 approval notices yestoday. even on last friday when I call AVM, the information was the same as before: " ...take xxx days". thank you all in this forum to share your information and experience. they are really helpfull. thank again!!!

I heard finally the "WORDS" that 485 was approved on Jan 28th, now hoping to get approval notices in mail..

I spoke to a IIO today and she said they just received the finger prints from FBI today. Does this make sense. I think she just had to say something. Your comments are appreciated

I joined this immigration community not long ago and received some helpful advices. I hope the above information is also helpful to the rest of the community too.
Since I am going to move out of state in March I am wondering how will INS handle the plastic card. Can I have INS mail it to my new address or I can have it made at the local INS service center? Does anyone else have the same situation/experience?

recieve date 05/24/2001
notice date 07/27/2001
my lawyer said i was OOS (out of status and gave me some stupid reason though I had valid h1b all that i had to do was to pay 1000 for myself anf my wife)
finger printing : 10/30/2000 done as scheduled in salinas CA
EAD: sometime in Nov 2000
AVM : 11/16 recieved the FP and pending review for me
11/10 recieved the FP and pending review for my wife
12/29 process resumed for both
AD: I just heard the AVM saying our case was approved on 01/28/02
