Dear Friends:
You are among the first people that I want to share the news with, as I promised before.
I checked AVM this morning and heard the wonderful word "approved" for all our pending cases. Subconsciously, I am still worried that this might be a wrong information. I certainly hope not.
I want to thank, first of all, the people that made this site possible. I also want to thank all the people that are willing to share their information and experience. This site and the people provided valuable support for all of us desperate waiters.
Here are my details:

I-140 filed: 09/2000
I-140 approved: 11/2000
I-485:
RD: 02/2001
ND: 03/2001
FP Notice: 07/2001
FP done: 07/2001
Company acqusition: BEFORE 180 days
RFE issued: 10/2001
RFE received: 11/2001
RFE for: W-2, pay stubs, copy of passport, I-20 Form, etc.
RFE replied: 11/2001
Amended I-140 filed w/ RFE Response (not required by INS possibly because of not knowing the acqusition).
RFE acknowledged by CSC: 12/28/01 (?)
Amended I-140 acknowledged: RD 12/28/01 (?)
Cases not assigned yet in early January per a nice IIO.
Amended I-140 approved: 02/04/02
I-485 approved: 02/05/02
Yet to receive the approval notice.
For quite a while, I thought that I would never get it. Here I am, I got it. Although my case is by no means a fast one, I should be happy considering how long some of our friends have waited. For all the friends who are desperately waiting, don\'t lose your hope. You will be there!

expired , did FP on Jan 26 , approved on 4 Feb per AVM.
I have yet to receive approval notice .

Does that mean Aug ND is getting approvals now ?

WOW ! your WAC# is 01-264, mine is 01-269.RD 07/12. ND 08/28. Does that mean that I might see my approval by mid March. I do not understand how this works as some really old WAC Numbers are still not cleared (April Mailers) and on the other hand you are a June mailer. 98PD_waiting, I was just checking that your case was aregular case, not with any exception like \'Age-Out case\'

Waiting for I485 approval.

Hi Folks
My FP was done on Nov 20th 2001, and the AVM at CSC says that the results of the Fingerprinting were received on Dec 29th 2001 and that processing has continued and I will be notified soon.
My WAC # is 01-250-***** under EB2.
Eagerly waiting to get the good news.
Is there any one in the Lows angeles area ina similar situation?

Hi,
I got mail from my lawyer today that my I-485 has been approved
on Feb 1, 2002. It got approved in one day after AVM acknowledged
the RFE response. I heard my approval on AVM on 4th Feb but waited
to confirm as I wanted to be sure this time..
RD: 4/23
ND: 6/20
FP: 10/30 (11/27)
RFE issued by INS: 12/26 (This was the first bummer when AVM said that
case is approved).
RFE responded : 1/25
AVM Updated on RFE response: 1/31
Case Approved: 2/1

rsrgc, If you go to Santa Ana you may not have to get there that early...

I think somebody posted earlier that they got there at 7:00 AM and their process was done quickly. I know you are in the LA area, so am I. Wouldn\'t it be cool if we got our approvals close to each other, my RD is 7/19, but, I am getting ahead of myself. Gotta wait for a month and more. :-(

but my wife feels that if INS they ask me to go LA downtown so be it
we will not go to santa ana - we shall go in the dead of the night to La downtown.

I am more concerned about getting a speedy end to the gc wait rather than the cold dark night - just kidding

the AVM says on 4th Jan your FPs are being reviewed and processing has resumed on your case, we will contact you if more info required...................

I talked to an officer and she said that they are waiting for the FP report, then the case can sit on the shelf for 3-4 months.

So who know how this works?????

(Forgot to post this here yesterday)
Never thought I\'d get to hear the word "approved" but I did !! I-485 approved and got passports stamped. The IIO only asked for the approval notice & photos and the passports to stamp on, didn\'t ask for anything else at all (even though the notice says you need to take along your I-94 etc), didn\'t even ask for the EAD\'s and AP\'s Well, sigh Hope all of you get your approvals soon. Guess INS is approving older cases now.

Oops.. forgot the main reason I posted this- THANK YOU ! to everyone here who helped with my questions and worries Without this site I would never have known that there is a phone number to call the IIO, the FBI #, the procedures, just loads of information that the lawyer didn\'t want us to find out and was very very surprised that we did. Thanks everyone, and Best of Luck & Lord save us from our lawyers ;)
