Received interview cancel letter today

I had actually posted on a different post, thinking that I had done it on this one. So here are the details:

At my INFOPASS appointment, I was told by the IO that my file did not arrive in time for the 09/18/2009 interview date and hence the descheduling notice was automatically sent out.

He found out that I was already assigned a new date (11/10/2009) and I recieved that letter in a weeks time.

06/30/09: N-400 Received at LEWISVILLE, TX
06/30/09: Priority Date
07/21/09: Fingerprints Done (Scheduled)
08/14/09: Yellow Notice Received
09/10/09: Interview deschedule notice
09/17/09: Informed of new ID (INFOPASS)
09/18/09: Interview Date (Descheduled)
11/10/09: Rescheduled Interview Date

Thanks for sharing, looks like I need an infopass to find out my result...

I had my infopass appointment yesterday. The lady told me they have my T (temporary) file and A file is in transit. Once they receive my A file, they will reschedule my interview. So far, no date showed on her computer yet. Not helpful.

What is T file?

I think you will get the rescheduling letter by the end of this month

Thanks for your encouraging. I don't know what is the T file either. I asked the lady, she said it's temporary file.:confused::confused:

Maybe A-file refer to the file about your green card. T -file is your current
N400 you submited. T-file is temporary because you are still in the process

Just don't understand why my A file is taking so long to be transferred to the local office. Hope they didn't lose it.

How does USCIS move people's A file? Do they have their own special couriers or they just use USPS, FedEx UPs etc?

Spiderman03 is also waiting forever for his file to be transferred (his file is being transferred to NBC so that it can be sent to Chicago DO). I have read posts where applicant files were sent to the wrong DO, so they need to be transferred back to the right DO. Was your file sent to the wrong DO?

I wonder why USCIS can not just use electronic version of A file.

Have no idea.

Don't know. That lady was impatient. I asked her if my file was lost and why took so long to transfer, she just said be patient, you interview will be scheduled soon.

Hope so. Save money and time...

I am in the same boat as you. Interview was in HOUSTON , Nov 9 but canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Any news on your case ?

Update my case:

Finally, my interview was completed successfully today, and got the oath letter scheduled for March 3rd after interview. The journey is almost over after this long exhausted waiting, my case might be the one of the oldest. Anyway, it's done within one year, what we can say.
