Hi all, I try to know if it's possible to apply a derivative asylum after you were granted asylum or you have to wait two years after granted

Were you on the principal applicant case when the case was approved?
If yes you can apply anytime you would like.

Hello, We have just received our travel documents. Our i485 still pending. We would like to travel of course not to our home country. Anyone traveled recently? We are hearing some horror stories about people are being deported even if they have greencard.

Asylee (someone whose asylum was granted) has two years from their asylum grant date to file I-730 for their spouse/kids whether they are in the US or not.
My attorney also mentioned it is also possible to file after two years but there has to be a VERY good cause (USCIS may make an exception but it is not guaranteed).
So my advice, if you're the principal asylee apply ASAP for your beneficiaries. I-730s today take around 14 months on average according to USCIS. I filed I-730 for my spouse and child in August 2024 and still waiting.

Thank you! Do you apply for a EAD work permit as well when you submit form I-730

No problem. EAD for yourself or your beneficiaries?
For yourself, since you have asylum status already you don't have to get an EAD but I'd say get it, it is free for the first time anyway.
If you're asking about EAD for your beneficiaries for whom you are filing I-730s, then they can only get EAD only AFTER I-730 approval.

Are you beneficiaries in the US or outside?

Hello.
I am a Dallas-Texas, resident, and I filed an asylum-based green card application last year. Below is my Case update timeline:
May 22, 2025 Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
December 3, 2024, the fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken.
November 18, 2024, We received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

How long after my recent update does one usually get an interview scheduled or waived?

Today my Ead based on pending i485 changed to Case was denied, haven’t received denial notice in hand yet. Filed under C09 category anyone has similar experience?
