Processing time for green card based on asylum

Did you apply for your green card right after your asylum was granted, or did you wait a few months before applying?
Could you share your timeline and where you filed your application?
I waited for almost 3 months and then applied for GC
Asylum approved Feb 2024
GC applied: June 2024
GC received: Nov 2024
I-90 filled: Dec 2024

Thank you so much for sharing. I have been keeping an eye on your updates. I seriously hope everything goes well for you. It is a tough situation but thank God you acted quick.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks brother. I hope it all goes well for all of us. Prayers
Hey brother!

I'm kind of worried to be honest because USCIS received my I485 exactly 133 days after I was granted asylum (July 2024 and then in Nov 2024 is when they got my application).

You are the very first person I heard USCIS approve a GC (Which I am sure it was a mistake on their end) before the year maker for an asylee, and now you are in this predicament.

1. Do you know or heard about this issue with someone else? If yes... It was due an applicant error or USCIS error?

2. What your lawyer told you? Is this issue "common"?

3. What did you do to correct the issue and what is the expected outcome according to your lawyer? I meant get the GC fixed of course but, your record and future N400 application?

Thank you in advance!

PD: Of course, if anybody reading this have insights, comments or information about this situation, please feel free to comment so we all can learn. I feel like anyone doing AOS through Asylum could face a similar situation.

From what I've seen on couple forums I'm part of, it looks like USCIS has paused processing adjustments of status for asylum cases. Given that, it seems like you’re doing okay since you only have 3 months left to go.

Today I received my RTD, after only 5months of filing, it was a huge surprise since I was expecting it to arrive in 12-14 months. Has anybody recently traveled abroad with this only and no GC?
I know I'm late, but i traveled in February and was fine, but that was before the whole news about Trump sending people back. I cancelled my plans for this summer :(

Hey everyone! I know that people are talking about the adjustment of status being paused, but I received a letter asking me for additional evidence (the doctor made a mistake in my medical records, so I had to resubmit them). According to my tracking number, they were delivered on 3/31, but the case tracker hasn't been updated since then. I only have until May 15, and I am not sure what to do. I know they have them, but why the tracker is not being updated I don't know. Could this be bc they paused my case? Has this happened to anyone?

if you have no criminal history or anything to worry about then you should travel and don't think twice about it!!!! Trump didn't create new laws but he is enforcing it now!!!! travel if you go no issues here or criminal record and no CBP can mess with you.

That’s what they want to scare us the immigrants! We shouldn’t let them get what they want! Please know your rights !!! Everyone faced issues while coming back to the US or got their visa revoked all of them participated in protests or had criminal records so if you didn’t do both please don’t be scared! Don't let them win the game they tried to create!

This is exactly what I think. Some greencard holders are scared of traveling nowadays without having not even a traffic ticket violation.

Do you think traffic violations can be a problem with CBP?
