Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

CBP officers knows literally very few about the immigration law he knows the basic so if your asylum was approved based on political thing then congratulations you will have fun during the N-400 interview with the USCIS officer who is responsible for everything not the CBP! You made a huge mistake that you will find out about when you apply for the citizenship! Enjoy the ride
Sure no issues I just submitted the application will update doon

Hi, I saw update that from 12.02.2024 I-693 must be filed at the same time with I-485!

ALERT: Effective Dec. 2, 2024, if you are required to submit Form I-693, or a partial Form I-693 (such as the Vaccination Record), you must submit it with your Form I-485. Otherwise, we may reject your Form I-485.

Hello Everyone,

I am asking this on behalf of my friend. My friend is a dependent of his wife's asylum case and holds a green card and refugee travel document. He went to the COP due to an emergency with his green card and refugee travel document. But his home country sent his refugee travel document to their country's US embassy because they believe it is not a valid document to travel and they haven't seen a US RTD before, but we know people who traveled to this particular country with the RTD safely and came back to the US safely. Is it safe for him to go to the US embassy and get his refugee travel document back will it cause any issues?

For your information, his wife, the principal applicant, did not travel to the COP. Please advise them on this critical situation they are facing. In my opinion, I don't think their COP immigration officers have the right to do this because RTD belongs to the USCIS. Please advise and we would truly appreciate it. That family is going through so much mental stress.

Hello,

For anyone filing an I-485, make sure you have included the I-693 Medical, otherwise USCIS will reject your application. Most asylees are not submitting the medical on purpose to receive an RFE and cause a delay, especially if the case has been picked up before the one-year mark. Here is a new article released yesterday: USCIS Now Requires Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record to Be Submitted.

I hope this helps!

Why from the start did he put himself in something like that! Why go COP before becoming a US citizen!!!! Very wrong decision no matter what was the emergency but nothing deserves this risk!
