What 14 months!!! Kidding? After 60 days you have to call them if no response unless you have a red flag in your case but 90% of the cases receive decision after 3-8 weeks hmm i asked 4 different attorneys about that and all said the same.Request for medical - July 2022
Medical received -September 2022
Does anyone know what is aprox timeframe for approval i heard up to 14 months but not sure.
Same day they received the package it was on the 31st at 10:00am and the status updated to evidence was received at 2pm same day!when was that?
Depends on case to case basis I guess ! I got mine approved within 5 months but some are waiting for very long, which is very frustrating.Request for medical - July 2022

Are you talking about decision or status that they received medical? What 14 months!!! Kidding? Status after receiving medical should be at max 60 days after that you do inquiry with USCIS ! Only H-1b and marriage green cards are the ones exceed the 60 days rule but for asylum if you send medical and you don’t get decision you do inquiry!!! No way you waited 14 months after sending the RFE hmmm you need to call themAre you talking about decision or status that they received medical?
That’s way too long and weird for a GC based on asylum hmmm you need to google their number and call them asap!Yes status changed after 10 days to medical received but since that still waiting for decision it has been 8 months.
Is there any phone number for inquriy or go through emma? Did anyone called and got decision after the call?
Hello! Please please please, please try to not jump into conclusions and generalize like that. It's causing others to feel more frustrated and anxious. Each case is very different and there are no rules or guidelines or timelines about RFE and medicals and timeline for GC approval after that. There are thousands of applications from the MSC22 cycle, even before July and September 2022, that are still waiting for the results. It's frustrating, a lot, but it's not weird or too long. That's not okay, but it's a fact. There are so many cases where the GC is approved very long after receiving the RFE - many people who send their medical with their application are also still waiting, for longer than 8 months, and for longer than people who receive RFE and submit later. It's very frustrating but it's also not weird and it doesn't mean there is anything wrong. There is no need to generate panic. Everyone is anxious. And 8 months since RFE was received is still more than okay. They are very very busy with backlog and each key range in 2022 and early 2023 still contains thousands of AOS-based GC that are stuck at FINGERPRINTED. 4 or 5 attorneys do not have the experience with thousands and thousands of applicants and cannot reflect the whole picture whatsoever. That’s way too long and weird for a GC based on asylum hmmm you need to google their number and call them asap!
Hi! Please don't worry! It's very frustrating and unfair that you have to wait, trust me. But thousands in your range and thousands in many ranges before you are still stuck at Fingerprinted. I hope you know this means there's nothing wrong with your application. And there are thousands of people who submitted their medicals with the application and have been waiting for more than 8 months. Unfortunately this is not okay but this is the situation I hope you know that we're in this together. Thousands of applications in 2022 and early 2023 are stuck at Fingerprinted or even Case Remains Pending, and many others submitted in March and April 2023 were already approved. This doesn't mean anything, I promise. If there's a red flag, you'll know for sure, but so far there's absolutely nothing to be worried about.Yes status changed after 10 days to medical received but since that still waiting for decision it has been 8 months.

unfortunately it doesn't update all the time. and sometimes it updates late. it doesn't mean there is anything wrong if your tracking info shows it's been received, then it's been receivedwow mine has not updated yet. how long did it take to update
Thank you very much, hope something change soon.Hi! Please don't worry! It's very frustrating and unfair that you have to wait, trust me. You can definitely call and inquire though; Emma would give you instructions. The inquiry would not be processed by USCIS most probably because your application is still well within the range You can also ask an attorney to expedite the application, but that depends on your resources and what reasons you give; and if you don't have an attorney, you can do it yourself. I suspect it will not work because there is no sense of urgency - in the minds of USCIS; I hope this makes you feel a little less stressed. You're doing great and you'll be okay!
of course! Anytime - we're all in this togetherThank you very much, hope something change soon.
Many applicants wait for 8 months after sending the RFE!!!! For real!? Really? Lol that doesn’t make sense to be honest hmmm I never seen or heard that hmmm go contact 2-5 different attorneys and they will all tell you it takes from 3 weeks up to 2 months unless the case has complicated background check like you coming from country that has wars or something like that but in general most of the asylees receive their Greencards in 1-2 months and many less after sending their RFE!!! You can also check reddit and see how the majority gets decision in 1-2 months after submitting the RFE unless it’s a case marriage it usually takes time!Hello! There's no need to aggressive if you're disagreeing. I am just trying to be mindful and careful, and trying to not generalize. I don't know how many applicants you and the attorneys have worked with or are referring, but they do not paint the whole picture at all. If the case has complicated background checks, they would not even bother proceeding with the RFE. It would be on hold or pending. Many applicants wait for 8 months after sending the RFE!!!! I’m not aggressive or trying to have attitude at all I’m just trying to explain for that person that they need to contact USCIS asap cause waiting for 8 months after submitting RFE is something not usual! I would file lawsuit against USCIS if it happens to me!There's no need to aggressive if you're disagreeing. I am just trying to be mindful and careful, and trying to not generalize. I am sorry but I think you should be more respectful in your answers.
Suing USCIS for an 8-month waiting period after RFE is not a solution and it will not go through. People's lawsuits could work only after it has passed the normal processing times. There are no guidelines about GC timelines after RFE. It's not Math like that and it is not fragmented. As long as the application overall is well within the processing times, suing will only waste time and energy and it will be throw out by the judge. There is nothing binding about the RFE timeline in the law and in the processing times, and nobody can use that as an excuse to sue.I’m not aggressive or trying to have attitude at all I’m just trying to explain for that person that they need to contact USCIS asap cause waiting for 8 months after submitting RFE is something not usual! Okay thanks for your advice i really appreciate it! Hopefully they send me a decision soon cause i wont take 8 months long wait and then i will definitely sue them and see how things gonna go and let you know but hopefully i wont need to go through all of that! I’m done with the USCIS bs enough is enough everything we have to wait for asylum interview then GC then another 16 months to get Refugee travel document ! Etc etc etc I’m done with them and i won’t mind losing some money trying to sue them if they don’t send me a decision in 1-2 months from now!Suing USCIS for an 8-month waiting period after RFE is not a solution and it will not go through.
