Let's post my interview experience.

I got to Immigration office at 9:10 AM on Tuesday. And checked in and made fingerprint. It was my turn until 12:10. An American male AO read my name. The interview started. It took me about one hour to finish interview. According to my experience, the AO just record the facts about my background with I589 form. He circled each category. He has always asked questions. But I did not have time to represent my story detail. He just wrote down the location, figures and time of my stories. I do not think he wrote down how fearful I was for the persecution in my hometown. I am not sure how his attitude is. But my attorney said it would be 90 percent probability to be passed. How would you think about it?

By the way, he asked me who is Jesus?and what does Easter celebrate?

Thanks

It looks like you will be ok. It is very difficult to guess how these guys will respond. In the coming weeks or months, you will know the result. Since then relax; you will succeed....We all went through and you will....as far as Jesus and Easter celebration goes, you might claimed persecution based on religion, or you might have come from a country where christianity is practice..he was probable trying to test your knowledge of the religion...good luck

You don't have to worry because he doesn't gave you time to explain your story in detail, every AO has his own system on how to deal with asylum claims veracity, the result depends on how he was satisfied with you answers. if your attorney said that you have 90% probabilty to be passed it means you're good. by the way did he tell you to come to pick up the decision or wait for the mail? Good luck.

The answer to this question will have a huge impact on the decision. The AO wanted to test your belief and faith. He is not interested in the details of your claim. The answer to this question will help him determine whether you have a true claim or not.

By the way, he asked me who is Jesus?and what does Easter celebrate?

Thanks

Actually, I did not have an attorney and interpreter with me in interview. An guy who is doing laws consulting services helped me prepare my documents, even though all most 95% documents are written by myself. He was just responsible for checking if there is something need to be revised. He told me he had offered related services to four applicants. They are all got approved. I really hope I am the lucky one too.

In addition, I am in status now. I am not sure if it would affect their making decision. Because of no background check, it sounds like they would give me final decision on July 6th. I wonder if my cased would be sent to court? Otherwise, would AO call every church I attended to test the truth of my words?

Thanks.
