Should be in a week or 10 days. Good Luck, Finally you can say the whole journey came to an end. Hope you had a good time during vacation especially since I think if I remember correct you had mentioned that you were going to meet your folks after 4.5 years.

Why can't they give then and there like EAD or Drivers licence..

That is how they process, When did they give EAD then and there? OR are you talking about IEAD?

This USCIS friend everything works only if the individual officers want I guess.

There are lots of friends like you who feel like Gosh it is still not yet over with.

could you tell me what date is on the card say about residency? does it say residence since stamped date? or I-485 approval date?

It is from the date of when the case get approved. But I have seen a few people report here that their dates very different by a few days +/-

Finally Received my plastic card. It took total 3 years and 7 months.

1. Approval : May 27th
2. Stamping : June 3 at San Francisco
3. Completed : July13
4. Card Ordered : July 15
5. Card Mailed : July 17
6. Card Received : July 20
 
Excellent job on updating the status i485jan. Thanks much for your
efforts. The template works out good and gives a very good idea
about the time taken for the whole process. Hope other people
will chip in too.

July 20th - On July 20, 2004, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her
 
Any LA Stamping

Any body did stamping in LA Lately and got the card?. I stamped early this month(July 06 2004) at LA, just want to get an idea of how long it will take if stamping was done at LA.
 
For my wife who is derivative

1. Approval : June 16th
2. Stamping : June 22 at San Jose
3. Completed : Never showed this status
4. Card Ordered : July 20
5. Card Mailed : Pending
6. Card Received : Pending

For me
1. Approval : June 16th

4. Card Ordered : Pending
5. Card Mailed : Pending
6. Card Received : Pending

I think my status might change today or tomorrow. Our status never changed
to approved so this message on my wife's case comes as relief. I think they
do miss steps on certain applications and forget to update status at every
point of the case.
 
Very weird. Card has been sent for my wife, eventhough we got approved and stamped the same day.
