Is this a good sign?

I have sent email to PBEC requesteing a screen shot for my 8th year H1B extn on Jan 24th. I received reply back them one on yesterday and one on today.
I noticed an additional field in today screen shot with Case Status:"Final Review".
Is this a good sign for approving my case soon? any one have any idea?
Any insight is appreciated.

I am so much tired of sending emails to senators, DOL, etc...., checking status.......... :mad:
 
Labor certified today

My labor got certified this morning. I am really excited and wanna enjoy this evening. I have learnt so much from this forum, thanks everyone for your contribution and wish you all the best.

I saw it first in my screen shot on oct 20' 2006. However my case still 'In Process'. May be it says, its past the so called Analysts and ready to be reviewed by a certifying officer. But god knows when.

The # is (484)270-1500. But the lady won't let you ask for status. Do you have any idea how to ask her to tell you the status?

no i'm just going to ask her that to tell the analyst to follow up on my case.

Prevailing wage issue

I heard that somebody got 2006 prevailing wage while his case was filed in 2003. This made me very nurvous, so I called PBEC. The lady told me if your recruitment process is complete, the prevailing wage applied is the year you submitted the application, not current year. I just know my case was still in State, never went to regional. But my case is RIR case. Do you think the recruitment process is complete for me? If not, I am going to be in trouble.
 
data review issues

Hey guys, I decided not to be a silent reader anymore. My case got closed twice and my status still say data review.
A friend of mine knows Elain chaw personaly, and she promised him that my case will be processed in 2 weeks. that was 4 mounth ago.
My company contacted my congressman, and he did nothing .
Going through green card process is a terrible experience.
the only thing that i can still do is just counting more days, more month, and more years!!!
Below are my details:
PD : may 2002
status: data review
case was closed twice and then reopened.
state VA
We made it to regional, RIR
 
i'm just called the PBEC and some woman picked up.
she was so annoyed by the fact that i called.
i told her i'm the secretary of the employer.
since he can't speak english, i'm calling on his behalf.
she was like "oh okay"
well i was going to give her my ETA case number,
but she said she doesn't need it and asked when my i filed for the case
i told her nov 2001 and she said well you received the 45 day letter
that means "we have your case, and you'll get the RI"s soon"
plus she went on to say "sir you know we have lots of cases here and we're working as much as we can"
then she said "thats all i can help you with "
so my fellow waiters that woman ruined my mood.
now i'm more depressed then i was to being with.
thats all.
 
LC Approved but has problems

Recently my lc got approved but when we look at it the approved labor the requirement for the position is Master or equivalent plus 1 yr of exp. I have bachelor's in Engineering. My employer filed this labor and made a mistake in the requirement.Attorney says this will cause the problem..anyone with similar situation or Can some one please advice what Should i do...

My labor is certified today. My signature has all the details.

I applied for 7th year extension on Nov 6th. It is still pending. Since the labor is certified is it a problem for my pending H1.

No - this will not cause a problem. You can keep renewing the H-1B till your I-485 is adjudicated.

Try to prove your education+experience equivalent to masters. If you can you will be lucky bcos the labor is approved under EB2 category.

Contact education evaluation specialists whether they can help.

Hi All,

Needed to share this information with you. I had got premium processing done for I140. The lawyer sent the documents out on 1/16/07 and I got my approval on 1/25/07. Within 7 days the approval came. I just found this great since I had a long wait for my lc. However I have to wait for my date to become current so that I can file for 485. What kind of problems I can face while filing for 485.
 
Reaching threshold ... I am pi**** as hell. Everyday I feel like strangling the lawyer and her legal assistant. They have done nothing on my case for the last 3 months. They are still preparing the final forms.

I can't believe that high skilled labor immigration has to bear the incompetency of the government/law firms/HR ..... Its almost unbearable sometimes. If you try to call any of them either they don't respond or they just brush aside your concerns.

I am pity for you. Definatley they are nonsense guys.
