RIR to perm coversion

Friends,
I have been a viewer of this forum from 2-3 years. I need some suggestion. My priority date is Feb 2003 , case in PBEC, 45 days letter replied feb 2005. Given todays scenario, is it recommended to go for rir to perm conversion given the fact, that process is also taking 5-8 months or is it advisable to hang around and wait for it come through existing filing. In both cases it is possible to retain the PD i guess. Thanks in advance.

yes, it was from GA.
Guys,

Is there any case where the applicant's labor was approved without the 45 days letter being sent?..

I am asking this question because my Labor was filed from GA and my priority date is before Oct 2004 but I havn't received any letter. I know it is not right to expect a labor approval when my PD is in 2004 and when there are people from 2001, 2002 and 2003 still waiting, but when you hear some strange news that a Oct 2004 case got approved it kindles some hope.

thanks

I suggest you hang on. If your case is EB2 for all you know by the time your labor is approved your PD might become current.

If your case is EB3 then retaining the same PD will not help since you will have to wait anyway to apply for I485.

If you go through the perm route you will have to spend extra money and might have to endure the headache of retaining PD.

Your PD is Feb 2003, it might take less than a year to get your approval, that is just a few additional months if you go through the perm route (considering the time required for pre-requisites for perm) and since you have to wait anyway after getting perm approval I would suggest you just hang on and invest that time constructively for something else.

That’s just my opinion, I wish you good luck whichever way you chose..

Dear Sir / Madam,

Sub: Delay in Foreign Labor Certification Application approval process at BECs

I would like to bring it to your attention the delays in LCA approval process at the two BECs, most notably the Philadelphia. I have been waiting for almost 2 years since the commencement of two BECs and have not recieved our apporvals.

Me and my family are suffering constantly due to these delays. Please take necessary measures to speed up the approval process.

I would be highly obliged if you look into this matter as soon as possible.

Salary Increase is never a problem, There would definitely be a problem if ones position changes for example Programmer Analyst to Technical Analyst and so on.

I had three hikes since I have applied for GC. So in short as long as your position does not change keep accepting those hikes/salary increases :D

Your subject line should be same like everyone.

You can change inside the letter (content) as you deem necessary. If you want to mention for exmaple that you first applied in say 2002 and it has been 4 years since that time and you are still wiating etc etc - you can add these

Faxed my letter

Folks if you can personalize your letter. It will be great. I am not sure if they are going to read all the letters but if they did they will get to know our personal miseries and losses. Especially last year I lost my father and was not able to take the next available flight due to the new security and visa reglation. Finally I had to take a flight which allowed me travel through their airport without the visa stamping. Its a nightmare. I dont want even my enemies to go through emotional torture that I went through...

mine have gone out today.....

all guys reading this forum, please do this for the least.....!! and post if u have done, so it will be some motivation for others, sporadic response will only make it a big joke...

we shud get some motivation after seeing those illegals marching 'bindaas' on the streets....
