While optimism is good, don't forget that all illegal aliens who
have been staying in this country for more than 1o years before
2000, were granted a chance to regularize and apply for adjustment
of status. I believe close to one million such applications were
filed and under processing. Unfortunately they are billed as skilled
workers and clubbed with EB3, skilled and emploment base.
So, don't expect eb3 based priority numbers to move to say somewhere
near end of 2001, is a near impossibility. It could take upto 4
years to get there, even for those holding PD of Dec 2001. Good luck
with your efforts.

Perm and I-140 Qn.

IF I file my perm now and say with 3 months, if it gets approved and file my i-140 immediately and after I - 140 approval, will I be able to file for 3 year h1b extension eventhough the labor is not pending for less than 365 days??

H1b extension after 140 approval is for 3yrs based on 140 approval..no more pending labor in the scene....

Hi guys. I don't have a habit to make posts, but my brilliant wife came with one interesting idea. How it would look to make a protest in front of the White House for everything we are going through. If someone can't go to Washington, DC, maybe it could be some local place, such as BCIS offices... In this country of freedom (of speach) this kind of action always brought a lot of attention (expecially media).
If this occurs, you can count on us (from CA) :eek:


By the way, could we please concentrate only on approvals in this thread (looks like the moderator isn't paying attention what's the topic)

talking about only approvals in this forum wud have made it dead longtime by now,we are not talking about latest hit movies.......this way makes us feel we r not alone in this rotting hell :D

Its not a bad idea to get some media attention, only if we can get a significant nuber of people there (about 50-100). I live in DC area itself so count me in.

Woox - u need to be police permission to do a demo and forget about doing a demo front of the white house..

This guy has no news since then about his case...I am not sure if all such cases cleared before they were shipped to BEC, I am sure they must be thousands of cases like those

If all these guys stand in que before us with a 2001 date, our dates will be somewheeeere in outer space...

immigrationvoive.org struggle is the best solution for us, people still r not realising about it...they r just limiting themselves to labor cleared..its just no good having a LC certified, we need to comeout of these clutches with an EAD in hand where we r not dependant on the employer any more..

There are some good proposals by some Senators and efforts from iv.org..we can see some light in this blackout...

With a PD in 2004, why don't you file PERM !? it's a waste of time to get stuck at the BEC with a PD of 2004 or 2005, IMHO.

I can't go with Perm, my company won't spend extra 3k to do that.

And few more fields like Rate of Pay, Business Activity, Visa Type..etc..

My case number starts with P.. But I have not received any 45 day letter or anything so far.. What does this mean? Can somebody please throw some light into this?

3k is very less for PERM man....I asked out it was close to 6k with th advt costs..

If it will help u out of this mess..sponsor yourself,
let me say, I spent close to 4k for h1 transfter in premium for me and family..

not to discourage you, your PD might take a min yr to reach your case..meanwhile u can save yourself thru PERM and file 140....If u want to keep this PD try PERM with another company as future employee

I worked with a CompanyA for THREE years and left them for CompanyB 2 YEARS AGO, i am still working with CompanB,

Now CompanyA wants to file a PERM for me.

My question is Can i use THREE years experience gained from CompanyA toward my labor certification through CompanyA, NOTE I am not employed with CompanyA right now.

Don't get me wrong. Your Labor will come out in a month's time and you have to worry about Retrogession

So what is this thing about Rally infront of PBEC

You want to fight for all the Guys struck here for old timesake

Rally could be good.But depends on how Sucessful it is.We guys are office workers. We cannot organie a successful rallies like other do and make their point. Plus your are possible immigratnts. So donlt get carried away by the success of rallies others make

PBEC is an adament Org which is difficult to convincece. All previous Fights with them ( even through Litigations has not worked)

My sugesstion: Instead of organizing Independednt Islands of Awareness, Why Not ask IM.ORG to take up PBEC issue as well. That for wahtever you contribute you get Justified on both the ends

Believe me,On the Final day of the Rally the headcount will be less than 50 and it will become a Joke than making an impact and bringing a solution

Guys with PD of 2001 & 2002 they are worried about retrogession as they feel that they will soon get out of PBEC mess

Guys with PD of 2003 & 2004 : They think they have to address PBEC first and then worry about retrogession

This is how we are divided. But the fact we all has to work on retrogession as this is going to hit all

As a good guy whio was in this hell I will request 2001 & 2002 Guys to push IV>ORG for PBEC issue claerence as well while they contribute.

All of you start discussing in thier forums and send e mails about PBEc issue as well and if that is addressed along with Retrogession you will pledge some funds

Expect the 45 day letter anytime soon.

The same happened to me. I got the screen shot for 7th year ext on one friday of december with T changed to P and by monday got the call from lawyer abt the 45 day letter.

I would say check with your HR or lawyer if they have received your 45 days letter and replied. So far I know they are sending 45 days letter for PD 2003. You should get it by now. I have learned from this forum that 05122 means they have entered your case on 122nd day of 2005. P means they have started processing your case.
