It seems keeping the spreadsheet has a positive affect on getting your perm certified:). So, I will try to keep it up-to-date from now on.

I could not find a similar tracking sheet for I140 cases, but there are specific I140 forums, where you can track the progresss of approvals based on the user signatures. There is one specific for Texas Center. At california it is taking about 5 months for the I140 to get approved. Not sure about Texas.

Ask your attorney to log into www.aila.org
if he is a member, he needs to log in and search for PERM inquiry. There is a form that you are supposed to fill in that AILA provides. Again, he can do all that only if he is a member of AILA

another friend of mine filled between 1 - 3 Feb 2006 Certified online - 8th March

Latest info integrated. It might have been wise for me to wait two days and file in January. They seem to be rocking with 86% certified!

Congratulations!! That was super fast. Could you pls answer the following.

1. Is your company very big?
2. Did your company have previous approvals from Chicago.

I was trying to understand why some applicants hear sooner than others.

Thanks, Looks like they are taking pretty long time on IT Manager or for that sake any managers. Best bet is to try as Software Engineer.

looks like a good month

If they keep up their pace this month, we should exceed 33 decisions in March. Let's hope the upward trend holds.

I was going through your previous quotes, we would all be greatful if you could please eloborate on your denial?

From what I understand you work in KS but company is in NJ and the PWD was taken from NJ instead of KS, is that right? Although you work in KS you could have given the work place address at NJ where your company is located, I did this mistake for the first time. I refiled by giving my company location as job location...remember GC is for future job. I can move to that location once GC comes. Just FYI when you refile.

However if the reason is something else could you please elaborate, I am sorry for your situation. I will be refiling for the fifth time so I can make some precautions earlier on.

Second PERM?

Hi all,

Does anybody know if a company can file for a second PERM for the same employee?

The problem is that my attorney screwed up my first PERM. He has put the BS degree as alternative job requirement in the PERM form and my I-140 which filed on Aug 2005(EB2) soon will be rejected! (they have issued RFE)

Then he tried to file another PERM (with different job requirement) which
will be quilified for EB2 but Labor denied the case right away saying that you
have another pending(!) PERM application for the same employee....
My attorney has written them back explaining that the job position is different and all that..... but I'm not sure if Labor dep. will buy that.

Any idea/suggestion? any similar case?
