SusieQQQ,You need marriage, not courtship to file for a spouse. You will prove the genuineness of the marriage at interview. It’s not a simple formula based on length of time of “courtship”.

ThanksAgain nobody can determine for you how long you should court before getting married. That’s a personal decision you have to make on your own. If you feel ready to get married, and the marriage is genuine, it’s not mainly for the purpose of getting a green card, then go ahead and get married.
You will of course be required to present evidence of the genuineness of the relationship regardless of how long you courted before getting married.
