Hi, when i am ready to apply for my first time passport, i know that i have to take with me my Certificate of Natu. and i know that i need 2 photographs, and a vaild identifiction such as a driver's license. Ok here is the thing, i sent to renew my Driver's license. and i recieved the new License with Error on my last name. and i had to go back to the DMV and to request a new License. and the employee there issued for me a Temorary License. which is a piece of paper, and my photo not on it, now the question is. Do u think they will accept this temporary License??

it will take sometimes months to receive the License. so dont know what to do. and dont have valid ID card either.

Thanks alot.

Do you have alternate photo ID? Did you check the State Department website about acceptable photo ID?

My Photo ID. expired too, Now when u apply for first time passport, do u have to send a copy of ur ID card or Driver's license with Form DS-11 and 2 photograghs? or the ID card just for the post office to make sure the person on the Certificate of Natu. is u?

Which ID card are you talking about? It has to be a government issued ID.
DL (or other proofs) are only for post office to validate the copies are genuine. Only Naturalization Certificate (or US birth certificate) goes in the mail, other originals will be given back to you.

You only send in naturalization certificate. A valid ID must be presented to clerk at passport center. A temporary replacement DL is a valid ID. An expired ID is not valid.

Acceptable forms of ID:

Previously issued, undamaged U.S. passport
Naturalization Certificate
Valid Driver's License
Current Government ID (city, state or federal)
Current Military ID (military and dependents)

You can also show combination of secondary types of identification in case you can't present primary type:

Example: Social Security Card + Credit Card + Employee ID + Library Card

According to the Department of State, the Naturalisation Certificate can be used as an identification. So, theoretically a post office clerk should be satisfied with a certificate alone, but often a clerk will not have enough training to comprehend the fact that one document can be used for citizenship and identification purposes and will ask for an additional ID.

I think that someone in a position of OP could print out the Dept of State documents check-list, bring only the naturalisation certificate and try to raise the hell with the post office employees in case they don't want to accept the certificate by itself.
