The reference to 5 years is for regular applications. Since you are applying based on 3 years of marriage, you would only include your travel in the last 3 years.

Does that apply to addresses and schools as well??

Coz I applied based on 3 yrs. marriage and didn't add that I had attended college in 2005, but I was going to add it at the interview. Should I even bother????

The statutory period for marriage-based N-400 applicants is 3 years therefore, you only need to provide information for the past three years. USCIS can ask you for information beyond the three years at the interview if they so choose.

The 3 year statutory period for marriage based applications holds for addresses employment and schools as well.
