Parents applying for US Citizenship... GC tracking questions...

Hi,

My parents 75 & 76 years old have been in the Green card for the last 10 years. Recently they lost their passports so we could not track all their exit and entry points. They have been only out for 3 times in the last 5 years lasting couple of months for 4 months at the maximum during each trip.

Is there a way to find out their entry in to USA by contacting USCIS?

Please help as they are getting ready to file their US Citizenship applications which asks for their exit and entry to USA.

They can put down "best recollections" (and identify that as the situation) and USCIS can pull it up in the computer to verify the accuracy. If there really is no disqualifying absence, it won't be a big deal.

It is strange how both of them just happened to lose their passports at the same time and just in time to apply for naturalization, that is a huge RED FLAG that will ensure super-duper, ultra-extreme, quadruple-extra scrutiny.
 
No there is no issue of their lost passport has they have lot of Dr. visits in USA as well as various medical tests that will prove their physical presence test in the USA. So, we are not worried about USCIS scrutiny for lot passport before applying for US Citizenship.

This happened last month in Chicago during their travel to visit my brother in Michigan as they took the passport to apply for some medical benefit in Michigan as they stay 6 months in Michigan.

They want to give factual data and they are very careful in signing something with wrong data.

Mr. Rajiv Khanna - Please kindly reply whether we can call or visit Chicago USCIS office to get their entry dates in to USA for the last 5 years.
 
you should immediately follow your embassy procedure for issue of new passports and may need a police complaint or affidavit stating facts. You can use frequent flier miles record, travel agent and e-mail records, credit card payment or check issue for tickets etc to determine the approximate travel dates. Since both your parents are above 75, they will not have finger printing so their processing time will be much shorter. BTW, I was not aware that Green Card holders get "medical benefits" in Michigan. Since 1995, Medicaid is only given to seniors if one is a US citizen or is a refugee or has completed 10 years working in the US or has lost their sponsor. So what benefits can a senior green card holder get in Michigan? Is that the case in IL too?
 
Yes, in Illinois they are in IL medicaid. In Michigan we just started the application process (they are not telling us until they apply in Michigan and they are very poor in phone communication.) Their web site doesn't have any qualification details.

Illinois has Healthconnect (as long as one is a GC holder for at least 5 years or more and above 65 years old without any income or below poverty line income.) You can get more details at illinoishealthconnect.com.

That's not true. States can provide Medicaid to people who have been permanent residents for at least 5 years.
 
Some states do provide their own state medical plan, but there is no federal funding for this unlike for a citizen where the states have to pay the Medicare premium and the feds pay the supplemental social security checks. MN, WI and the rest do not provide for Medicaid for non citizens under such circumstances. States like MA, CA etc pay.
