overstayed visa

Hello I have lived in the U.S. for almost 20 years on an overstayed visa. When I was about 4 years old my mother was able to get a s.s. for herself to work through the ins and I was able to get one which was not valid for work. I have used that number for everything for these years. My mother owns her own business and I work with her and I use that same s.s. #. I gave it to her acct and that is what they use on my taxes. My dilemma is I have been dating an american citizen for almost 6 years we plan on getting married but I want to know how much of an issue it'll be since I work with my mother. I appreciate your time.

Please tell me that your mother retained proof that you entered the US legally all those years ago. Everything else can be forgiven, including the unauthorized employment.
