overstayed and now want to go home

Hi all
I am a 36 yr old female who has been in the US for 10yrs. I came over on the visa waiver from Australia and I would now like to go home. I have not been arrested or broken any laws since I have been here. I wondered if anyone knows what will happen at the airport if I try to leave to go home? Will I be detained? Arrested? any info appreciated!

You will be fine to leave. Though be aware that once you leave the 10 year re-entry bar to the US will kick in.

Doesn't matter. They track you by name and date of birth. You will be unable to enter the US for 10 years minimum, and after that you likely will never get a visitor visa again (and you can't use the visa waiver program), but leaving is absolutely not an issue.

There's no way you can leave and come back. At least not for 10 years.
