OPT to TN

Hi there, I am a Canadian Citizen and currently on OPT ('ll expire in August 09). My employer gave me a full time offer (as per TN visa requirements). Couple of questions.

a. What is the best POE to get status changed (from OPT to TN)?
b. Can I request for 3 year visa (the period given in the employment letter is for 3 years)?
c. For any reason if TN is denied, can I re-enter US on OPT as it is still valid until August.

a. All poes are the same. Your docs are the ket, not the POE.
b. Yes.
c. Yes, until august, unless they find YOU are inadmissable for other reasons than a poor TN application.

My spouse is also a Canadian working in US with valid H1. Does her status have any impact on my application for TN? again, thanks for the quick response.
 
one final follow-up. Does TN requires maintaining foreign residency? I have been in US for past 3 years now (F1 and OPT) and my spouse about same time with H1. We really have been living out of Canada for the past 3 years.. Assuming that my application is as per the requirements, is there a possibility deniel because of my residency in US?
